DeLatto scores the winner for Sewanhaka
John DeLatto scored three goals, including the winner off a feed from Cody Vassallo with 1:30 remaining in overtime for Sewanhaka in a 7-6 win over Malverne/East Rockaway in Conference III boys lacrosse Wednesday.
Sophomore Michael Fileti added three goals in his first varsity start for Sewanhaka (4-7). Malverne's Nick Dichiara scored with two minutes remaining in regulation to force OT.Elmont 7, New Hyde Park 6: Kevin Figueroa scored his third goal of the game with 18 seconds remaining to win it for Elmont (1-4) in Conference B-I.West Hempstead 7, Lawrence 6: Fernando Inostrosa had three goals, including the winner with 2:50 left in overtime to lift West Hempstead (1-4) in Conference B-II. Kyle Pacheco had three goals and Frank LoNigro had 12 saves for West Hempstead. Farmingdale 13, Cold Spring Harbor 11: Jamie Leone scored twice with 11:36 and 10:25 remaining in the second half to lead Farmingdale (7-2) in Conference I. Melanie Raso added four goals.Islip 20, Huntington 15: Kylie Ohlmiller scored seven goals, including the go-ahead score with 6:05 left to put Islip (6-4) ahead, 16-15, in Division II. Kerri Nicolich added five goals in the win.
Bellport 16, Glenn 15: Kelly McPartland scored her seventh goal of the game with 4:50 left and gave Bellport (6-5 Division II) a 16-12 lead. Glenn's Mary-Kate Sivilli scored with 38 seconds left and cut Bellport's lead to 16-15. Meredith Weber added five goals and two assists and Grace Healy added an assist and won 12 draw controls for Bellport.
