Amin's field goal as time expires wins it for NB
Adam Amin hit a 21-yard field goal as time expired to lead North Babylon to a 12-9 win over Bellport (2-3) Saturday in Suffolk Division II football. Amin also had 51 yards on 19 carries and a 34-yard field goal in the first quarter. Preshod McCoy had 100 yards and a touchdown on 18 attempts and an interception for North Babylon (4-1).
Copiague 18, Half Hollow Hills East 13: Nick LoCascio returned an interception 35 yards for a TD with five minutes left to give Copiague (1-4) an 18-6 lead. Terrick Simms had six catches for 60 yards and ran for 40 yards and a TD. Barry Yorke's 1-yard TD with 5:30 left in the game put the Eagles up 12-6.East Islip 19, Riverhead 13: Kevin Hutchinson was 4-for-4 on field goal attempts, including a 21-yarder with 5:00 left to extend the lead to 19-6, and had 128 passing yards for East Islip (4-1). Mike Higgins rushed for 92 yards on 13 carries. Riverhead is 1-4.
