Brett Stewart completed 11 of 21 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 101 yards and two scores on 23 carries to lead Garden City in a 42-26 win over Long Beach Saturday in Nassau II football.

The victory was Trojans coach Tom Flatley's 250th. Flately has a 250-41-7 record in 29 seasons at Garden City.

Senior Brian Colamussi, returning from an injury and playing in his first game this season, had four receptions for 71 yards and two touchdowns for the Trojans (4-1). Matt Borges also had a TD reception. Danny Miller ran for 57 yards and a touchdown.

Long Beach's Chris Parler ran for 259 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. The Marines are 3-2.

Wantagh 35, MacArthur 13:Michael Ferraro rushed for 171 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns to lead Wantagh (4-1) in Conference II. Ferraro also had two receptions for 30 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown catch to cap the Warriors' first half scoring. Steve Killard threw for 104 yards and completed 7 of 8 passes with two touchdowns. Pete Brasile and Tom Korwan each made seven tackles.

Calhoun 34, Bellmore JFK 14:Thomas Fitzsimmons had 30 carries for 128 yards and three touchdowns to lead Calhoun (1-4) in Nassau II. Fitzsimmons scored on rushes of 2, 5, and 25 yards. Zach Mastrangelo scored on a 16-yard touchdown run and also had a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Anthony Fitzsimmons had three receptions for 42 yards and also had an interception. Bellmore JFK falls to 1-4.

South Side 21, Herricks 7:Steven DiMare completed 6 of 10 passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns to lead South Side (2-3). DiMare hooked up with Paul Pandolfi on a 17-yard touchdown pass with 5:14 remaining to create the final margin for the Cyclones.

Pandolfi also had a 23-yard reception and had an interception. Luke Scaduto ran for 68 yards and Michael Nunziato's 56-yard touchdown reception gave South Side a 14-7 lead in the second quarter.

Alex Pickett ran for 83 yards and a touchdown and had an interception to stop Herricks' final drive. Kevin Rafferty made 10 tackles. Herricks is 1-4.
