Carlos Jackson intercepted a pass in the end zone and returned it 102 yards for a touchdown to give Valley Stream Central a 35-point lead in the second quarter en route to a 49-6 win over Hicksville in a Nassau I football game Saturday.

Stephen Falana recovered a fumble in the end zone with 4:00 left in the first quarter to give the Eagles a 7-0 lead. Vito Friscia threw for 195 yards and two TDs. Suraj Kumar ran for 89 yards with a TD on five carries. Carl Williams made nine tackles, including two for a loss, to lead Valley Stream Central (1-3). Hicksville is 0-4.

Oceanside 38, Freeport 20: Vincent Guarino completed 12 of 16 passes for 125 yards and three TDs and he ran for 31 yards to lead Oceanside (3-1). His 13-yard TD pass to Kevin O'Keefe gave the Sailors a 21-7 lead with three seconds left in the first half. D'Monte Woody's 22-yard TD run pulled Freeport within 21-20 in the third quarter, but Guarino answered with a 44-yard TD pass to Timmy Nolan. Tariek Harris rushed for 100 yards and a score for Oceanside, while linebacker Francis DiGiovanna had 11 tackles and a fumble recovery and Joe Denaro had five tackles and recovered a fumble in the end zone. Freeport is 2-2.

Baldwin 26, Uniondale 16: Matthew Eberhart scored two rushing TDs to go with 38 yards on the ground and 22 yards receiving to lead Baldwin (3-1). Kadeem Langhorne had an interception on the final play of the game and a sack for Baldwin and Matt Guilfoyle ran for two touchdowns and had 12 tackles on defense. Tyler Warner was 5-for-12 passing for 63 yards and he ran for 33 yards on Baldwin's go-ahead touchdown drive in the fourth quarter, which was capped by a 2-yard TD run by Guilfoyle. Uniondale is 0-4.

East Meadow 35, Plainview JFK 13: Johnny Wilson scored on a 4-yard TD run with six minutes left to give East Meadow a 28-6 lead. Wilson rushed for 106 yards and two TDs on 17 carries. His 2-yard touchdown run with ten minutes left in the fourth quarter put the Jets up 21-0. Teammate Nick Conti ran for 165 yards on 11 carries including a 21-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter and sophomore Steven Grech, playing in his first varsity game, recorded three sacks. Dylan Hippner had 12 tackles, including two sacks for East Meadow (2-2). Plainview JFK is 2-2.

Syosset 42, Hempstead 14: Nicholas Hatzipetrakos recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown off a blocked punt to give Syosset (3-1) a 21-0 lead over Hempstead (1-3) in the first quarter. Manraj Singh rushed for 82 yards and a TD on 10 carries, Hunter Gross had 72 rushing yards and a TD on 12 carries, and Brandon Nieves added 64 yards and a TD on 12 carries in the win.
