Nijay Brown kicked the winning extra point with 38 seconds left as Eastport-South Manor defeated Amityville, 13-12, Thursday in Division III -- after scoring her girls soccer team's only goals Monday and Wednesday.

With ESM down 12-6, Cole Zeller scored on a 2-yard dive up the middle to cap an 85-yard, 3:33 drive.

Amityville's Gary Looney had scored on a 27-yard pass from Collin Koward to put the Warriors ahead with 4:11 left.

Eastport-South Manor inside linebacker Mike Bianco made 22 tackles, nine for a loss, and did heavy blocking duties at fullback. He added two sacks.

Centereach 20, Copiague 14: Dieter Bartolotta scored on a 12-yard run with four minutes left for Centereach in Division II. He finished with 66 rushing yards. Rich White had 112 yards and one touchdown on 12 carries and returned a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown midway through the third quarter to tie the score at 14.

Copiague, led by Willie McFadden III with two touchdowns, had the ball with 1:42 left, but Centereach got a stop on fourth down to preserve the victory. Copiague totaled 165 yards of offense.

John Mirasola had eight tackles and a forced fumble for Centereach. Mike Cipolla had a fumble recovery.

East Islip 30, Whitman 7: Matt Walter's fumble recovery at the Whitman 5-yard line early in the third quarter sparked East Islip to a 21-0 run. Walter scored on the next play on a 5-yard run up the middle. In addition to his 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns, he kicked a 26-yard field goal and went 3-for-4 on PAT kicks.

Walter also contributed two sacks, and his six tackles tied Bob Heyward for the team high. Patrick Valoy caught a 6-yard pass from Jack Hannigan to give East Islip a 10-7 lead just before halftime. Riverhead 35, North Babylon 6: Inside linebacker Mike VanBommel had 13 tackles and Raheem Brown had 10 for Riverhead, which kept North Babylon off the board for three quarters in Suffolk II. Brown added a fumble recovery and VanBommel grabbed a 23-yard pass from Cody Smith in the third quarter to make it 28-0. Smith completed 13 of 20 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns.

Commack 23, Brentwood 6:Jesse Kilmetis' 3-yard touchdown run with 5:02 left in the third quarter capped Commack's 23-0 run. Kilmetis had 30 yards on six carries. Josh Valentin's 15-yard touchdown reception on a pass from Rob Paccione opened the scoring. Valentin led the Cougars with seven first-half tackles and a sack. Kyle Dempsey had a 4-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter for the Indians.
