Hatcher helps Amityville roll
Da'Rell Hatcher had 243 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries to lead Amityville to a 28-8 win over Hampton Bays yesterday in Suffolk IV. Hatcher had TD runs of 25, 20 and 14 yards and also added two sacks for Amityville (7-1). Sean Walters added 105 yards on 19 carries, including a 2-yard TD run in the second. Hampton Bays is 4-4.
Bayport-Blue Point 29, Wyandanch 0: Matt McKinnon had a 37-yard TD run on a sweep around the right end to put Bayport-Blue Point (2-6) ahead of Wyandanch (1-7) 22-0 in the second quarter. Joe Malia had a 36-yard TD to cap the scoring in the third quarter.
Glenn 41, Port Jefferson 0: Rich Czeczotka ran for 160 yards and three TDs on 13 carries to lead Glenn (7-1) over Port Jefferson (5-3). Tom Forsberg added 118 yards and a score on 18 carries. Mike Diesu had seven tackles and Kevin Malloy added six tackles.
Babylon 28, Center Moriches 7: Eric Schweitzer ran for 167 yards and three TDs on 19 carries to lead Babylon (6-2) over Center Moriches (5-3). Schweitzer also caught a 34-yard TD pass from Zach Fredericks.
Mercy 28, Greenport/Southold 23: Keith Schroeher was 8-for-12 for 171 yards with three TDs and had five carries for 32 yards and a TD to lead Mercy (3-5) over Greenport/Southold (1-7) on Friday. Bernie Schrage had five carries for 52 yards and a 30-yard TD reception and freshman Reggie Archer had a 40-yard TD reception, the first of his career.
Stony Brook 40, Southampton 12: Junior Don Liotine had a career-high 340 yards and six TDs on 15 carries to lead Stony Brook (3-5) over Southampton (0-8) on Friday night. Liotine's 71-yard TD run with 30 seconds left in the first half gave Stony Brook a 20-12 lead.
