Long Island's top high school football teams square off this weekend for a county championship and a shot to reach the LIC.

Syosset defeated Baldwin, 26-20, in the Nassau I title game while Sayville defeated Islip, 28-21, in the Suffolk III championship game Thursday.

Lawrence beat Plainedge, 49-19, in Nassau III and Lindenhurst topped Patchogue Medford, 30-27, in Suffolk I Friday night.

Nassau II (Carey-Garden City), Nassau IV (Roosevelt-Mineola), Suffolk II (Half Hollow Hills West-East Islip), Suffolk IV (Shoreham-Wading River-Glenn), and CHSFL Class AA (Chaminade-St. John the Baptist) took the field Saturday.
