Thomas Walsh completed 17 of 25 passes for 267 yards and six touchdowns as second-seeded St. Anthony's (7-3) defeated No. 7 Holy Cross, 49-20, in a CHSFL AAA quarterfinal Saturday night.

Rob McCann had five receptions, all for touchdowns, including a 66-yarder that put the Friars ahead 35-6. Jordan Gowins scored on a 2-yard run and a 40-yard pass and had 59 rushing yards. Evan Killen added 108 yards on 12 carries.

St. Anthony's will play No. 3 Iona Prep in a semifinal at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Holy Cross finished 3-7.

Roosevelt 49, West Hempstead 8: Shamari Kirkpatrick ran for 226 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries to lead No. 1 Roosevelt (8-1) over No. 8 West Hempstead in a Nassau IV quarterfinal Friday. Kirkpatrick ran for scores of 23 and 46 yards in the second quarter to put Roosevelt ahead 21-0 at the half. Justin Terry's 43-yard TD run put the Rough Riders up 42-0 after the third. Rashawn Vailes had 13 tackles, two sacks, a fumble recovery and a blocked punt, and Jaiden Fortune had 14 tackles and an interception for Roosevelt. The Rough Riders face No. 5 Seaford in a semifinal at 5 p.m. Saturday at Hofstra. West Hempstead finished 3-6.
