Hodge to AIC

Andrew Hodge, the outstanding linebacker on Half Hollow Hills West’s unbeaten Class III Long Island championship team, has accepted a scholarship to American International College in Springfield, Mass. Hodge, a second-team All-Long Island selection, told me at basketball practice on Thursday that he was recruited to play outside linebacker. Hodge and Stony Brook-bound All-Long Island quarterback JeVahn Cruz, are spirited reserves on the Colts’ Long Island champion basketball team that will play in the state Class AA semifinals in Glens Falls on Saturday.
