Joe Grossi scored on a naked bootleg from 18 yards with three minutes left to lead Lynbrook to a 34-32 win over Hewlett in Nassau III football Friday night.

Hewlett returned the ensuing kickoff to the 50, but Lynbrook's Steven Rabinovich intercepted a pass in the flat on fourth-and-14 with 40 seconds left to seal it.

Grossi, who completed 6 of 9 passes for 89 yards and a TD, ran for 228 yards and two touchdowns on 31 attempts. Dylan Lucas ran for 102 yards and two scores on 23 carries.

Lynbrook's running attack was powered by the offensive line, led by Brian Burke, as well as by receivers Owen Daly, Eddie Bouhall and Zach LoCicero.

Lynbrook is 5-2 and Hewlett 2-5.
