Joe Morris had 24 carries for 157 yards and two touchdowns, including a 45-yard run in the third quarter to give Syosset a 10-point lead en route to a 16-13 win over Freeport Saturday in Nassau I football. Morris scored on a 44-yard run and Tim Lafferty connected on a 43-yard field goal in the second quarter to give Syosset (1-2) a 10-0 lead. Freeport is 0-3.

Baldwin 35, Hempstead 7: Tyler Warner went 13-for-19 for 152 yards and three TDs and Travais Hylton had six receptions for 79 yards and three TDs for Baldwin (2-1). Jovaun Tomlinson rushed for 144 yards on 22 carries and two TDs. Ryan Mahoney had six tackles, one sack and a fumble recovery, Johnathan Robinson had six tackles and Michael Abrahams added five tackles. Hempstead is 0-3. Massapequa 27, Uniondale 0: Nick Balzano had nine tackles and a sack to lead Massapequa (3-0). Tadhg McKessy had six tackles and one sack, and Taylor Bocchiaro added two sacks. Jack Korber, Grady O'Halloran, Brett Clarke and Craig Berge all recovered fumbles for the Chiefs. Korber also ran for 56 yards and two TDs and Bocchiaro added a 41-yard rushing score. Uniondale is 1-2.

Farmingdale 48, Valley Stream Central 6:Curtis Jenkins had 19 carries for 101 yards and a TD to lead Farmingdale (3-0). Farmingdale ran the ball 27 times for 303 yards, including a 62-yard TD by Rich Morris for the game's first score, and Michael Outing's 82-yard touchdown run for the game's final score. Kevin Petit-Frere had two touchdowns, one on a six-yard run to make it 14-0 in the second, and one on a 25-yard interception return in the fourth quarter. Mike Gregorvic made 11 tackles. Valley Stream Central is 1-2. East Meadow wins by forfeit. Hicksville was forced to forfeit since it did not have enough players available because of injuries in the previous game, according Section VIII Football coordinator Pat Pizzarelli. Pizzarelli said New York State requires a team to field 16 players. East Meadow is 2-1 and Hicksville is 0-3.
