Suffolk I roundup: Justin Gerdvil leads Northport past Central Islip

Justin Gerdvil ran for 115 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries to lead Northport over Central Islip, 27-6, in Suffolk I Saturday.
The Tigers (2-2) ran for 350 yards on 49 carries as a team. Defensive tackle Sam Gozelski had six tackles, including three for a loss, and a sack.
Commack 25, Brentwood 6: Adam Ostrowski ran for 65 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries in Commack’s (2-2) win. Cole Sass had nine tackles, three sacks and an interception, Vinny DiFrancisco had eight tackles and a sack and Gus Hueber had three sacks.
Sachem East 14, Whitman 7: Chris Park ran for 120 yards and two TDs, including a 9-yard score with 4:01 left to break a tie at 7 and lead Sachem East (2-1).
