Long Island football's Gridiron Greats for Week 2

JJ AIELLO, Bayport-Blue Point: He totaled four touchdowns in a 42-14 win over Shoreham-Wading River. He caught two scoring passes of 14 and 15 yards and added TD runs of 35 and 1.
ELIJAH ALVAREZ, St. John the Baptist: He had 15 carries for 136 yards and a 24-yard TD run in a 21-18 +win over Christ the King.
ANTHONY BYRON, Baldwin: He had 102 yards on 12 carries and two scores in a 22-0 win over Uniondale.
CHRIS CARSON, Lindenhurst: He had five catches for 101 yards and intercepted a pass in a 23-19 win over top-seeded Bellport. He also had nine tackles, including two for a loss.
MIKE COPPETO, Island Trees: He rushed for 227 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries and added five receptions for 37 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown reception in a 32-27 win over Mineola.
CHRIS FRANZESE, Glenn: He was 17-of-18 for 187 yards and two touchdowns, ran for 84 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries, caught 2 passes for 47 yards and a score and had five tackles in a 29-0 win over Center Moriches.
JORDAN GAZIT, Carle Place/Wheatley: He completed 10 of 19 passes for 154 yards and three scores and added 100 yards rushing on five carries in a 47-21 loss to East Rockaway.
DYLAN HARRIS, Floyd: He rushed for 129 yards and three scores in a 35-12 win over Sachem North.
MASON HAUSER, Longwood: He totaled 13 tackles, including three for a loss in a 23-20 over Ward Melville. He also caught a 16-yard touchdown pass.
JACK LAPRARIE, Smithtown West: He had a 52-yard interception return for a score and added another interception in a 41-21 win over Smithtown East. He also had five catches for 187 yards and three touchdowns.
SHANE LONGIN, Harborfields: He completed 15 of 25 passes for 230 yards and five touchdowns in a 34-30 win over Comsewogue. Three of his scores came in the fourth quarter.
CHASE MCLOUGHLIN, Floral Park: He had three rushing touchdowns and an interception return for a score in a 27-0 win over Glen Cove.
DOMINICK NOVELLO, Mepham: The senior quarterback went 8-for-9 for 219 yards and a touchdown and ran seven times for 46 yards and a score in a 42-0 win over MacArthur.
DEVIN PAGE, Kellenberg: He completed 15 of 17 passes for 173 yards and two scores in a 38-14 win over Fordham Prep. He also had a rushing TD.
BRAYDEN STAHL, Smithtown West: He completed 10 of 17 passes for 326 yards and four touchdowns in a 41-21 win over Smithtown East.
