Kelly, a senior, ran for a career-high 198 yards and three touchdowns on 35 carries to lead a ground game that racked up 348 yards for Lynbrook (2-3). After the go-ahead score, Raymond Thompson recovered an onside kick for Lynbrook to seal it. Trailing 21-7 with 2:58 left in the third, Kelly capped a 14-play drive with a 9-yard TD run, and the ensuing two-point conversion pulled Lynbrook within six.

Lawrence 55, Manhasset 7:Joe Capobianco was 7-for-10 for 267 yards and three touchdowns and ran six times for 43 yards and a touchdown to lead Lawrence (5-0). Eddie Robinson had two catches for 101 yards and a touchdown, was 7/7 on PATs and had an interception. Tyler Fredericks two TDs and 155 yards on 19 carries and added a pick-six. The Lawrence defensive starting unit has yet to allow a point this season.

South Side 27, Carle Place 13: Eric Willie ran for 232 yards on 19 carries and scored three times to lead South Side (3-2), including the 80-yard TD run to extend the Cyclones' lead to eight. Cole Considine went 4-for-7 for 54 yards and a TD Kevin Rafferty made 10 tackles.
