Joshua Rogers rushed for a 10-yard touchdown with a minute left in the third quarter for the final score as Valley Stream Central defeated Hicksville, 14-6, in Nassau Conference I.

Jayden Fox made an interception at Valley Stream Central’s 15-yard line on Hicksville’s final play to preserve the victory. Rogers also had a 3-yard touchdown run for the game’s first score for Valley Stream Central (1-1).

Farmingdale 34, Oceanside 0: Joe Burriesci scored three touchdowns on a 19-yard reception, a 28-yard run and a 52-yard kickoff return for Farmingdale (2-0). Anthony Licci completed 4 of 7 passes for 135 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to Dillion Mehta. Mehta had 116 yards receiving yards.

Massapequa 27, Syosset 0: Paul Dulanto completed 8 of 12 passes for 106 yards and three touchdowns to lead Massapequa (2-0). Ryan Fountain had four receptions for 66 yards and two touchdowns.

Hempstead 27, Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 0: Jakkai Stith rushed for 266 yards and a touchdown and threw for 72 yards and two touchdowns to lead Hempstead (2-0). Dwayne Meadors rushed for 176 yards, including a 92-yard touchdown run for the game’s first score.

Baldwin 22, Uniondale 0: Anthony Byron had 12 carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns to lead Baldwin (1-1). Cedric Jean-Pierre’s 5-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter extended Baldwin’s lead to 15-0. He and Jaden Brutus each had an interception.

Freeport 38, East Meadow 14: Martese Davenport gained 121 yards and had two touchdowns on 12 carries for Freeport (1-1) in Nassau I. D’Angelo Gordon completed 4 of 9 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 61 yards on seven carries. He also had a 13-yard touchdown reception from Nazair Jean-Lubin to give Freeport a 14-7 lead in the third quarter.

Gordon made a 65-yard touchdown pass to Jayden Gordon, his brother, to give Freeport a 22-7 lead following a two-point conversion run by Davenport in the third quarter. Jayden Gordon caught all four of D’Angelo’s completions. Jean-Lubin had a 75-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and Yvan Neas had eight tackles.
