Elmont 20, MacArthur 13: Justus Nathaniel made a tackle at Elmont’s 16-yard line on a naked bootleg as time expired to preserve a 20-13 victory for Elmont over MacArthur in Nassau Conference II football on Friday.
Nathaniel also had a 67-yard touchdown reception from Kimani Lewis to give Elmont a 6-0 lead in the first quarter.
Nicholi Noble had a 6-yard touchdown run, which was followed by a two-point conversion pass from Lewis to Osagie Ekhator to give Elmont (3-3) a 20-point lead in the first quarter.
Lewis threw for 157 yards and the touchdown and ran 77 yards for a touchdown. Nathaniel had three receptions for 95 yards and Isaiah Davis added 77 rushing yards on seven carries. Kenny Weaver had eight tackles, including two sacks.
Mepham 28, Long Beach 13: Dom Novello rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries and threw a 35-yard touchdown pass for Mepham (5-1). His touchdown pass to Steven Mulqueen have Mepham a 21-0 lead in the second quarter. Novello also had a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to open the second half. Dominic Inzerilla had a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown to give Mepham a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
Garden City 42, Calhoun 0: Cole Webber completed 7 of 8 passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns to lead Garden City (6-0). Stevie Finnell rushed for 95 yards on eight carries, including a 36-yard touchdown to give Garden City a 28-0 lead in the second quarter. Aidan Considine rushed for 64 yards on 10 carries, including a 5-yard touchdown and had a 21-yard touchdown reception from Webber.
New Hyde Park 34, Bellmore JFK 0: Aidan Garvey rushed for 85 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries to lead New Hyde Park (4-2). He also threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Reilly to give New Hyde Park a 20-0 lead in the second quarter. Tom Reilly had 10 tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery.
Sewanhaka 19, Roslyn/Friends Academy 9: Carter Fredericks-Dort rushed for 145 yards and Dom Balletta completed 7 of 12 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown for Sewanhaka (3-3). Balletta found Kamari Denhart for a 33-yard touchdown pass to give Sewanhaka a 6-3 lead in the first quarter. Jermel Heard rushed for 78 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown to give Sewanhaka a 19-3 lead in the fourth quarter. Sebastian Success had three sacks and two forced fumbles, Markese Gadson had 11 tackles.
South Side 42, Herricks 0: Michael Melkonian had four total touchdowns for South Side (4-2). He had a 23-yard touchdown run, followed by a 73-yard touchdown reception from Owen West in the first quarter. He added a 16-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter and had an 11-yard punt block return for a touchdown for the final touchdown of the first half, giving South Side a 35-0 lead at the break. Melkonian had five receptions for 143 yards and West completed 7 of 12 passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns Michael Aiello and Robert Moone made interceptions.
