Tommy Napolitano stepped up in the pocket avoiding the rush and found Cooper LaRock in the back corner of the end zone for a 25-yard TD with 12 seconds left in the fourth quarter for the game’s final points as Herricks defeated Roslyn/Friends Academy, 19-17, in Nassau Conference II Friday.

LaRock had three TDs, starting with a 5-yard run in the third after Roslyn/Friends Academy scored the first 17 points. He added a 1-yard TD run later in the quarter after returning a fumble to the 1-yard line for Herricks (1-7).

Elmont 24, South Side 20: Taj Young advanced an offensive fumble five yards for the game-winning touchdown for Elmont (5-3). Kimani Lewis threw for 105 yards and had 10 carries for 77 and a 3-yard touchdown to help Elmont overcome a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter. Isiah Davis rushed for a 2-yard touchdown and Gustavo Hernandez-Moreno kicked a 28-yard field goal and was 3-for-3 on extra points. Michael Melkonian forced a fumble and returned it 28 yards for a TD for South Side (4-4).

Mepham 27, Sewanhaka 12: Chris Norris had six carries for 75 yards and four TDs for Mepham (7-1). Norris and John Lechleitner each recorded a sack. Two goal line stands helped Mepham hold its lead.

Garden City 28, New Hyde Park 0: RJ Votruba rushed for 132 yards on nine carries, including a 73-yard touchdown for Garden City (8-0). Stevie Finnell rushed for 72 yards on 10 carries, including a 40-yard touchdown. Cole Webber was 6-for-11 for 43 yards and a TD.

Long Beach 34, Calhoun 7: Jack Miller scored two rushing TDs and one receiving TD for Long Beach (6-2). Jeff Conway threw three TD passes of 3, 15 and 52 yards and Shaquille Johnson had an interception. Joey Goodman returned a fumble 40 yards for a TD for Calhoun.

MacArthur 26, Bellmore JFK 2: Rocco Hogan rushed for 194 yards and four TDs and had six tackles and an interception to lead MacArthur (3-5).
