Matt Cargiulo scored from a yard out to cap off a 12-play, 45-yard drive and then threw a two-point conversion to Ryan Tintle with 3:30 left in the fourth quarter for the game’s final points as Manhasset defeated Lynbrook, 14-7, in Nassau Conference III football on Saturday. James Brady made a key tackle for a loss on third down and Manhasset forced an incomplete pass on fourth-and-5 at the Manhasset 19-yard line with 42 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Tintle recovered a fumble forced by Cole Purcell and Brady in the third quarter and Jack Mulholland added 12 tackles.

Roosevelt 33, Hewlett 13: BJ Norman ran for 198 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries for Roosevelt (2-0). Bakail Talmadge added 114 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries, including a 42-yard score in the first quarter to tie the score at 6. Jeremiah Bradley made nine tackles and had a 36-yard interception return for a touchdown and Jahrece Matthews had eight tackles and two sacks.
Wantagh 20, Bethpage 0: Nick Cupelli rushed for 131 yards on 14 carries, including a 21-yard touchdown run, to give Wantagh a 14-0 lead in the third quarter. Jake Martini added 75 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Joe Legovich was 5-for-6 with a touchdown pass to Anthony Reale to open the scoring. Antony Tsakos made 12 tackles for Wantagh (2-0).
Floral Park 27, Glen Cove 0: Chase McLoughlin ran for 58 yards and three touchdowns to lead Floral Park (1-1). He also had a 25-yard interception return for a touchdown. Josh Lewis made six receptions for 96 yards and Brendan O’Sullivan had 16 tackles.
Valley Stream North 32, Division 19: Josh Lopez rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries and had 15 tackles to lead Valley Stream North (1-1). Nick Naumov completed 8 of 13 passes for 127 passing yards, including a 22-yard touchdown pass to Gerry DelCarpine to give Valley Stream North a 12-0 lead in the first quarter. Naumov added 92 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. Nate Erisnor and Kevaun Cunningham added an interceptions.
