Fasano, Madia spark Syosset

Mario Fasano caught five passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns and Angelo Madia had the game-winning touchdown run to lead Syosset to a 34-28 win over Westbury Saturday in Nassau I.

Madia, who had 14 carries for 112 yards, broke free for a 36-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to break a tie at 28. Westbury had just pulled even on Viron Jones’ 62-yard touchdown pass to Darius Young. Young also caught a pass for 58 yards and a touchdown to cut Syosset’s lead to 14-13 before halftime. Christian Skorka had 11 carries for 58 yards with one touchdown for Syosset (1-2). He also intercepted a pass.

Freeport 28, Uniondale 0: Rashad Tucker completed five of 13 passes for 73 yards and a touchdown and also had 10 carries for 45 yards and two touchdowns to lead Freeport. Jahred Wray added 12 rushes for 92 yards and Elyjah Campbell had two receptions for 55 yard and a touchdown.

Robert Fitzsimmons made three solo tackles, including one for a loss, and three assisted tackles. Jaelin Hood had three solo tackles, three assisted tackles and completed a 32-yard touchdown pass to Nicolas Olivier that opened the scoring in the first quarter.

Tucker’s 28-yard touchdown pass to Campbell gave the Red Devils a 14-0 lead before halftime. Tucker’s touchdown runs of six and 16 yards helped Freeport (2-0) pull away with a 14-point third quarter.

East Meadow 42, Plainview JFK 14: Justin Reyes had touchdown runs on three consecutive drives to lead East Meadow. Reyes, whose longest score was a 50-yard run at the start of the second quarter, gained 158 yards on nine carries. Mike Dolley ran for 74 yards on 12 carries and two scores. Tyler Love had four tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble. Christian Castro made five tackles. The Jets (1-1) led 35-0 before Plainview JFK’s Jordan Futerman ran nine yards for a score.

Valley Stream Central 44, Hicksville 6: Stanley Desir scored three touchdowns in the first half to lead Valley Stream Central (2-1). Shalome Clarke opened the game with a 75-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Desir’s second touchdown run -- a 60-yarder -- gave the Eagles a 28-0 lead before the end of the first quarter. Stephen Sanchez completed 4 of 6 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.
