CONFERENCE I
Kahli Shaw ran for two touchdowns, including what proved to be the winning 11-yard score in the third quarter, in visiting Freeport’s 22-18 win over Westbury in Nassau Conference I football Friday night. Judah Murchison ran for a 3-yard TD and a two-point conversion for Freeport (3-4).
Brandon Chavez rushed for three touchdowns, including a 25-yard TD, for Westbury (2-5).
Syosset 30, Hempstead 14: Ethan Dizon ran for a 6-yard touchdown and threw TD passes of 10 and 8 yards to Ryan Rosenfeld for host Syosset (3-3). Salvatore Laudacina made a 29-yard field goal and all four of his PATs.
Lamarcus Parsons ran for two touchdowns for Hempstead (3-3).
Oceanside 42, Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 13: Chace Morris had 11 carries for 71 yards and five touchdowns to lead host Oceanside (4-2). Dylan Parker had six receptions for 64 yards, including a 21-yard TD from Peter Palotti. Shane Harmon completed 12 of 17 passes for 102 yards and Jacob Stern caught three passes for 47 yards. Ryan Pender made all six of his PATs.
Eric Weinstein ran for an 11-yard touchdown and Drew Sansobrino added a 1-yard TD run for Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK (4-2).
SATURDAY’S GAMES
Port Washington 38, Herricks/Wheatley 13: Harry Eynon completed 16 of 21 passes for 282 yards and five touchdowns to lead visiting Port Washington (4-2). Joe Fox had five tackles and ran 11 times for 65 yards and a score. Teddy Behan caught three passes for 135 yards and two TDs and ran three times for 39 yards. Levi Felix had four catches for 81 yards and two TDs. Yiannis Doulis ran for a 4-yard TD and Lucas Pudlowski had a 40-yard rushing TD for Herricks/Wheatley (1-5).
Uniondale 38, Hicksville 14: Jowell Facey had three receptions for 122 yards and two touchdowns and added two interceptions and returned one for a TD to lead host Uniondale (1-5). Darien Oliphant threw a 67-yard TD pass and caught a 13-yard TD pass. Abelardo Peralta threw for 178 yards and two TDs. Jaden Garland had nine tackles, including two for loss. Thierry Robergeau had two sacks and Ethan Thomas, Carlos Perez and Jaden Armstead each added a sack.
Marco Rodriguez had kickoff return touchdowns of 80 and 85 yards and caught a two-point conversion pass for Hicksville (0-6).
CONFERENCE II
Anthony Scali had four rushes for 86 yards and three touchdowns and had two kickoff return TDs to lead visiting Bellmore JFK to a 49-14 win over Roslyn/Friends Academy in Nassau Conference II football Saturday. Scali added a 19-yard reception to finish with 275 all-purpose yards.
Dylan Babek completed 6 of 8 passes for 108 yards and a TD. Dom Vaglica had two catches for 50 yards and a score and Johnathan Mazzio had a rushing TD. A.J. Herlihy had five tackles, two for a loss and a sack. C.J. Siegler had eight tackles and two sacks.
Asher Berkowitz had a 15-yard rushing touchdown for Roslyn/Friends Academy (0-6).
Calhoun 28, MacArthur 19: Nick Maresca ran for 85 yards and two touchdowns for host Calhoun (5-1). Tim Lynch threw for 143 yards and a touchdown and Andrew Licari had four receptions for 92 yards and a TD. Gianni Capizzi had five tackles and a 43-yard interception return for a touchdown. Mike Nicholson had seven tackles and made all four of his PATs. Jack Ciccimarro sealed the win with an interception with 40 seconds remaining.
Ethan Shapiro ran for a touchdown and caught a TD pass from Vinny Szucs, who added a 62-yard TD pass to Dan Lopez for MacArthur (2-4).
Long Beach 29, East Meadow 17: Brody Riedel ran for a 61-yard touchdown on the opening play for visiting Long Beach (4-2). He capped the scoring with a 27-yard TD catch from Charlie Conway. Zack Silva and Brody Juan each caught a TD pass from Conway. Nick Schwab caught two TD passes from Michael Petitto for East Meadow (4-2).
Baldwin 24, Roosevelt 14: Kymani Heaven, Rachael Bordeaux and Michael Jordan each rushed for a touchdown to lead visiting Baldwin (3-3). Jordan completed 10 of 16 passes for 135 yards. Gavin McGinley made a 28-yard field goal and all three of his PATs. Tyreik McClenic ran for a 56-yard TD and caught a 60-yard score from Kelvin Abreu for Roosevelt (1-5).
Garden City 42, Glen Cove 6: Max Siragusa caught a 38-yard touchdown pass and returned a fumble 30 yards for a TD for host Garden City (6-0).
The Trojans extended their Long Island-record winning streak to 60 games. Anthony Asaro caught a 53-yard touchdown pass, ran for a 34-yard score and returned a punt 90 yards for a TD. Brayden Robertiello ran for a 58-yard score and threw a TD pass and Brendan Benn added a TD pass.
Mason Foster caught a 12-yard TD pass from Dylan DiMaggio for Glen Cove (1-5).
Mepham 31, New Hyde Park 0: Lenny Achan and Paulie Genovese each had a rushing TD to lead host Mepham (5-1). Adam Erlichman completed 13 of 21 passes for 201 yards. Michael Grizzard had six receptions for 104 yards and Lucas Eagleston had five catches for 64 yards and returned a kickoff 70 yards for a TD. New Hyde Park is 2-4.
Valley Stream Central 26, Jericho 18: Evan Nelson had three rushing touchdowns and added a two-point conversion run to lead host Valley Stream Central (2-4). Steve Lubin added a 26-yard rushing TD and Darell Augustin intercepted a pass with 1:50 remaining in the game to seal the win. Gabe Manderson had 15 tackles. Max Spector threw two TD passes and added a TD run for Jericho (3-3).
CONFERENCE III
Daniel Casey punched in the go-ahead, 1-yard touchdown run with 17 seconds left in Valley Stream South’s 68-64 win over host Division in Nassau Conference III football Friday night. The TD capped the highest scoring football game between two Nassau teams, surpassing Syosset’s 64-63 win over Farmingdale in Spring 2021.
The game spanned three hours and 15 minutes and featured 1,120 total offensive yards from both teams.
Casey totaled 18 carries for 130 yards and five TDs and completed 4 of 6 passes for 77 yards, including a 61-yard TD to Michael Thimonte.
David Brooks ran for 257 yards and three TDs on 22 carries as Valley Stream South (3-3) finished with 449 rushing yards behind offensive linemen Emmanuel Williams, Hunter Rush, Angel Cruz, Sherry Raza and Eric Kaneev.
Tim Stanley completed 17 of 28 passes for 405 yards and two TDs. He also had 12 carries for 78 yards and a TD for Division (3-3).
Aiden Mirelis had seven receptions for 201 yards and threw a 50-yard TD to George Gendekos. Jason Perez caught three passes for 96 yards and a TD and returned a kickoff 78 yards for a TD. He added five carries for 33 yards and three TDs.
Valley Stream North 33, Sewanhaka 7: Izaiah Hill rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries and added an interception to lead host Valley Stream North (3-3).
Aidan Munro added an interception and caught a 38-yard TD pass from Tyler Malyah, who had five completions for 60 yards. Marco DiCostanzo had two interceptions and Mike Omojola added an INT. Dom Verso had 10 tackles and returned a fumble 18 yards for a TD and Karim Waly added a fumble recovery.
Jawad Kamal caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from Mahmood Kamal for Sewanhaka (1-5).
Elmont 20, Hewlett 0: Elijah Davis had 26 carries for 160 yards and a touchdown and Aiden Barnes had 13 carries for 102 yards and a TD for visiting Elmont (2-4). Barnes also threw a 70-yard touchdown to Guyps-Lee Chery on the last play of the first half to give the Spartans a 14-0 lead. Barnes added an interception and Kirkley Grant made 11 solo tackles. Hewlett is 1-5.
South Side 14, Floral Park 10: AJ Magaraci had 18 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 59 yards to lead host South Side (4-2). Ethan Johnson had 10 carries for 49 yards and a TD and added a 23-yard reception. Rob Cesario Jr. completed 6 of 9 passes for 117 yards.
Justin Mallon ran for a touchdown and Andy Chen made a 25-yard field goal and a PAT for Floral Park (4-2).
SATURDAY’S GAME
Manhasset 35, Mineola 8: Michael DePietro had eight carries for 167 yards and two touchdowns and added 12 tackles and a fumble recovery to lead host Manhasset (2-4). Cooper Harley scored on a 48-yard run to open the game and Luke DePietro added four carries for 62 yards and two TDs. Brendan Torres caught a lateral pass for a 65-yard score for Mineola (0-6).
CONFERENCE IV
Jayden Johnson ran for 143 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries to lead visiting Malverne to a 34-19 win over Lawrence in Nassau Conference IV football Saturday. Cameron Wesley also ran for two TDs. Chris Tucker had eight tackles, a sack and an interception and Julien Dumornay recovered a fumble for Malverne (3-3).
Khalil Brassell threw three TD passes for Lawrence (0-6).
North Shore 27, East Rockaway 8: Joey Cristofari had 15 carries for 98 yards and two touchdowns for host North Shore (2-4). Casey Gates ran 11 times for 96 yards and a TD. Liam Ricco returned an interception 54 yards for a TD. Jethro Jacquet ran for a 10-yard TD and a two-point conversion for East Rockaway (2-4).
FRIDAY’S GAMES
Carle Place 37, Island Trees 18: Ryan Leary caught two passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns and returned a kickoff 98 yards for a TD to lead host Carle Place (5-2). Leary added a 37-yard field goal, four PATs and an interception. Joe Buffolino had 15 carries for 165 yards and a score and Thomas Schoch threw for 85 yards and two TDs. Lukas Bazelais and Ayden Ciccione each ran for a TD and Gio Campisi caught a TD pass from Sean Navarrete for Island Trees (2-5).
Cold Spring Harbor 48, Oyster Bay 13: Chase Cody had four carries for 95 yards and three touchdowns for host Cold Spring Harbor (4-2). Jayden Saunders had three carries for 57 yards and three TDs. Lucas Saunders ran for a 73-yard TD Jeep Pace had an interception and Alex Vitale had three sacks.
Chase Lordi caught a 61-yard TD pass from Joe Henry and George Henry ran for a 6-yard TD for Oyster Bay (1-5).
Plainedge 35, Locust Valley 0: Dylan Fella ran 17 times for 150 yards and three scores for host Plainedge (6-0). Dimitris Vardamaskos had eight carries for 76 yards and a TD and added a sack. PJ Bruno caught a 15-yard TD pass from Jaxson Torres, who completed eight passes for 80 yards. Locust Valley is 2-4.
