The Harborfields offense dominated time of possession throughout the game. But when the team needed the ball back most, it was their defense that went out and got it for them.

Nursing a one-point lead with 4:24 remaining in the game and Deer Park inching closer to potential game-winning field goal, Dylan Piscitelli and Kyle Natiello forced a fumble that was recovered by Connor Coyle at their own 24-yard line to seal the win as Harborfields defeated Deer Park, 15-14, in a Suffolk Division III upset.

Sean Clark capped a 16-play, 80-yard drive that took up all but 1:29 of the first quarter with a 16-yard touchdown pass to Nick Fessenden. Clark then found Brendan Holihan for the two-point conversion which ultimately provided the final margin in the win for Harborfields (4-3). Deer Park fell to 5-2.

With the score 8-7 in the second quarter, Harborfields faked a punt at its own 20 as punter Holihan connected with Dylan Piscitelli for a 68-yard completion, setting up a 10-yard touchdown pass from Clark to Greg FitzMaurice.

On the ensuing possession, Harborfields recovered an onside kick.

Deer Park's Austin Sweeting, who also connected with Joe Gimeli for a touchdown in the first quarter, scored on a 17-yard touchdown run with 8:40 remaining in the third quarter to cut the Harborfields lead to one. A lead the Harborfields defense would make stand.

Clark completed 13 of 19 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for 56 yards on nine carries for Harborfields. Piscitelli finished with four receptions for 100 yards and Fessenden added 69 yards on four catches.
