Suffolk Division III Week 7 roundup
Hunter Lovinsky rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries to help Deer Park defeat Islip, 27-12, in Suffolk Division III on Friday night.
Aaron Smith threw for 165 yards and a touchdown on 5 of 8 passing. Hayden Lovinsky had one catch for 70 yards and rushed for 55 yards on six carries in the win.
Rooney Elmon made two catches, including a 35-yard touchdown reception to give Deer Park a 27-6 lead before the half. Jovani Elysee Holloway rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown and had nine tackles and an interception for Deer Park (4-3).
Jack Tripptree completed 11 of 16 passes for 212 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. He threw 16- and 13-yard touchdown passes to Anthony Morrione and a 20-yard touchdown strike to Dom Letteri. Vincent Bonfanti and Jeremy Brett both had sacks for Sayville (7-0).
Dylan Guerrera finished 4-for-4 on extra points and topped the win off with a 25-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. Jack Kalinowski and Jake Stassi each had an interception, and Deandre Perez recorded a sack for East Islip (4-3).
Jesse Brooks returned a fumble 2 yards for a touchdown and caught three passes for 122 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown reception. Mitch Diamond returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown. Anthony Raio caught a 61-yard touchdown pass and Ryan Bonocore and Jalyn Jacques each made touchdown receptions.
