Suffolk Division III Week 8 roundup
Vincent Bolognino caught two touchdown passes from Shane Longin in the fourth quarter, including the winning 23-yard score with 1:28 remaining, to lead Harborfields over Deer Park, 27-26, in Suffolk Division III Saturday.
With 10 seconds left, Deer Park ran a quick out, but Harborfields defenders swarmed to the ball to make the tackle in bounds at their own 10-yard line and end the game. Bolognino also returned an interception 90 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to cut Harborfields’ deficit to 20-13. Harborfields (7-1) had three interceptions, Aidan Terry recovered a fumble and Gavin Lindkvist made eight tackles (two for a loss).
East Hampton 41, Eastport-South Manor 21: Charlie Corwin was 4-for-6 passing for 102 yards and a touchdown, had 15 carries for 126 yards and two touchdowns and returned an interception 42 yards for a touchdown for East Hampton (3-5). Corwin’s 55-yard touchdown pass to Danny Lester gave East Hampton a 20-15 lead entering halftime. Corwin also made 12 tackles. Finn Byrnes rushed for 160 yards and a pair of 2-yard touchdowns.
Westhampton 28, Rocky Point 14: Nolan Michalowski ran for 175 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries to lead Westhampton (6-2). Mike LoRusso had four receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown.
Aidan McDermott made eight tackles and Noah Hebberd made seven. Sal Fracapane had five tackles and a sack, Andrew Mensch made five tackles and Jordyn Brown had four tackles and a sack.
East Islip 41, Hauppauge 14: Matt McIntree had four carries for 109 yards and 73-yard touchdown run for East Islip (5-3). He added a 3-yard touchdown catch and had three receptions for 95 yards. Ryan Parker threw the touchdown to McIntree and had 94 yards on 24 carries.
Drew Killmurray had an interception and Sebastian Regis and James Sturek had one sack apiece. Dylan Guerrera hit all four of his extra point attempts and both of his field goal attempts.
Islip 38, Amityville 12: Kaiden Lewis ran for 152 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries to lead Islip (3-5). Christian Hall rushed for 105 yards on 14 carries and Jake Lindskog had three receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown. He also returned a kick 45 yards for a score. Connor Dobson had eight tackles and a sack.
Comsewogue 56, Wyandanch 0: Vincent Aprigliano and Daimler Valerio each rushed for two touchdowns to lead Comsewogue (1-7). Ibrahim Moshin and Johnny Russo added rushing touchdowns. Tyler Strome threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Shane Grant in the first quarter and Adam Wacholder returned an interception 28 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. Comsewogue also forced a safety in the 30-point second quarter.
