Suffolk Division I

Riverhead 19, Central Islip 14: Kevin Qualey caught a 46-yard touchdown pass from Karter Doyle with 29 seconds left in visiting Riverhead’s 19-14 win over Central Islip in a Suffolk Division I football opener Friday night. Chris Ramos’ had aninterception to seal the gamewith 15 seconds left sealed the win. Doyle rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns and Nate Nentwich added 119 yards on 13 carries. Qualey totaled five catches for 76 yards. Jimmy Gaston Jr. ran for touchdowns of 50 and 15 yards for Central Islip.

Sachem East 37, Commack 26: AJ Vurchio threw three touchdown passes and ran for a score to lead host Sachem East. Logan Perotti returned an interception for a TD in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. James Dee, Brayden King and Sal Sinacore each caught a touchdown pass. Lincoln Riggs threw three touchdown passes, including two to his brother, Andrew for Commack.

Ward Melville 21, Sachem North 14: Hudson Philbrick completed 12 of 18 passes for 145 yards and a touchdown to lead visiting Ward Melville. Joe Karpowicz had an interception and 16-yard touchdown reception. Joe Benedetto added 101 yards and a TD on 18 carries. Gary Fleischer and Jack Turano each caught a TD pass from Luke LaRocca for Sachem North.

Connetquot 41, Patchogue-Medford 0: Andrew Amarando caught touchdown passes of 55, 33 and 10 yards to lead host Connetquot. Vincent Feraca threw four TD passes, including a 23-yard strike to Caden McLaughlin. Andrew Kwansah returned an interception 49 yards for a score and Javon Barnwell added a 4-yard rushing TD. Michael Catera made made 5 of 6 PATs.

Whitman 22, Bay Shore 7: Xavier Ali had three sacks, including one for a safety, and 11 tackles to lead visiting Whitman on Saturday. Ryan Downes rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries and Jonas Templeton had 15 carries for 79 yards. Dylan Kollmer completed 7 of 13 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown. Aiden Jorgensen had a 7-yard TD catch. Downes and Joshir Lyons each had an interception. Matt Gervasio made 12 tackles. Mike Mannino kicked two field goals of 46 and 21 yards. Xavier Hector threw a 34-yard touchdown pass to James Sobotka for Bay Shore.

Lindenhurst 34, Brentwood 0: Reece Wrightington threw for 180 yards and three touchdown passes to lead visiting Lindenhurst. Joseph Scavone rushed for 101 yards and a TD on 11 carries and Michael Russo added a 5-yard rushing touchdown. Cameron McDonald had eight tackles and a fumble recovery, Chris Camacho had four tackles and a fumble recovery and Chase Frole had four tackles and two sacks.

Suffolk Division II

Centereach 28, Smithtown East 23: TJ Doyle threw for 209 yards and two touchdowns and Dylan Duran had 22 carries for 114 yards and a TD to lead host Centereach to a 28-23 win over Smithtown East in a Suffolk Division II football opener Friday night. Elijah Adams caught three passes for 80 yards and a TD and Jack Cavalieri added a 10-yard TD reception. Jamal Joda forced a fumble and blocked a punt that was recovered in the end zone by Andre Ozuna. Aidan Katz had three sacks, Duran had an interception and Jake Mikochik recovered a fumble. Joseph Fallon, James Huxtable and Matthew Santangelo each caught a TD pass from Antonio Marrone for Smithtown East.

Newfield 35, Copiague 19: Matthew Evers completed 6 of 8 passes for 90 yards and three touchdowns to lead visiting Newfield. Chris Mastres had eight carries for 48 yards and a TD and Luis Fernandez carried 10 times for 44 yards and a score. Nick Leoni, Anthony Vitale and Dante Powell each caught a TD pass. Newfield collectively rushed for over 200 yards, and had five different players scored. Roger Rowe rushed for two touchdowns and Fabrice Cormier caught a TD pass from Cody Tiringer for Copiague.

Bellport 27, Deer Park 14: Jaheim Talford, Michael Frankie and Elie Malcolm each scored a rushing touchdown in the second quarter of visiting Bellport’s win on Saturday. Braydon Cipp rushed for 41 yards on seven carries and added an 8-yard score in the fourth quarter. Treyvon Holland made 12 tackles and Frankie had two interceptions. LJ Brooks added eight tackles and a sack. Aaron Smith rushed for a 2-yard score and threw an 18-yard TD pass to Anthony Almanzar for Deer Park.

Northport 27, Huntington 6: Gio Valenti totaled 10 tackles, two sacks, an interception and blocked a PAT to lead host Northport. Ben Pipolo added two sacks and Reid Johansen had eight tackles and an interception. Enrique Hernandez ran for a 40-yard touchdown and threw for 103 yards and a 30-yard touchdown to Thomas O’Brien. Asher Levine ran in a 2-yard score and Zach Loh kicked two field goals and three PATs. Jack Kamenstein caught a 30-yard TD pass from Jacob Guzik for Huntington.

Suffolk Division III

Islip 34, Kings Park 20: Jake DeGennaro returned a punt 62 yards for a 62-yard touchdown and a kickoff 93 yards for a score for a 93-yard TDto lead host Islip to a 34-20 win over Kings Park in a Suffolk Division III football opener on Saturday. Brady Nash completed 12 of 16 passes for 190 yards and rushed six times for 60 yards and a score. Dylan Smith had four catches for 110 yards and added three sacks. Cayden Tierney and Robbie Rais each added two sacks. Christian Hall returned a blocked field goal 55 yards for a touchdown for a 55-yard touchdown and rushed seven times for 75 yards and a touchdown. Frankie Buffolino and Aidan Barbosa each caught a touchdown pass from Brandon Shapiro and Alex Squillacioti kicked field goals of 42 and 26 yards and two PATs for Kings Park.

Hauppauge 38, Amityville 0: Nick Lachapelle completed 10 of 13 passes for 169 yards and rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries to lead visiting Hauppauge. Cole Wood had six receptions for 115 yards and rushed for 101 yards and two TDs on six carries. Liam O’Connor added a rushing touchdown. Dan Martinez made a 32-yard field goal.

Sayville 48, Harborfields 7: Kyle Messina rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries for visiting Sayville. Patrick Coan completed 10 of 14 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns and Dylan Kent had an interception. Tomas McCann caught a 25-yard TD pass and added an 11-yard touchdown run. Leo Mongiello had a 7-yard TD run. Jack Weiss scored a 5-yard touchdown run and added the PAT for Harborfields.

Comsewogue 7, East Hampton/Bridgehampton/Pierson 6: Shane Grant rushed for 92 yards on 21 carries and scored a 2-yard touchdown in the third quarter to lead host Comsewogue on Friday. Henry Butler scored a 38-yard rushing TD for East Hampton/Bridgehampton/Pierson.

Suffolk Division IV

Shoreham-Wading River 40, Hampton Bays 12: Sean Casey rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries and returned two kickoffs for touchdowns to lead host Shoreham-Wading River to a 40-12 win over Hampton Bays in a Suffolk Division IV football opener on Saturday. Noah Gregorek completed 8 of 9 passes for 102 yards and a 7-yard TD pass to Michael Iberger. Michael Single ran for a 41-yard touchdown and Nathan Donahue had a 5-yard rushing touchdown for Hampton Bays.

Babylon 25, Glenn 7: Aidan Winter rushed for 171 yards on 21 carries and four touchdowns to lead host Babylon on Friday. Dan DeBetta had nine carries for 69 yards and added nine tackles. Savion Millner had six tackles and Alex Keilitz and Ben King each added five tackles. Mike Kilgannon caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Cole Madden for Glenn.

Greenport/Southold/Mattituck 22, Port Jefferson 13: Matt McGunnigle rushed for two touchdowns to lead host Greenport/ Southold/Mattituck. Michael DeNicola scored on a 25-yard run and Taiquan Brumsey tackled Port Jefferson’s Chris Diot in the end zone for a safety. Diot rushed for a 10-yard score and threw a 65-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Verruto for Port Jefferson.

Mount Sinai 35, Southampton 0: Vincent Graziano rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on three carries to leading visiting Mount Sinai, which totaled 220 rushing yards. Dontae Spadaro caught a 44-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Filippi to open the scoring. John Pramataris, Max Sorrentino and Logan Geraghty each rushed for a TD. Spadaro had an interception and five tackles. Dylan Kaplan had an interception and Matthew Cuccinello had five tackles. Arda Dincer and Alex Bottomley combined to go 5-for-5 on PATs.

Center Moriches 48, Wyandanch 8: Brayden Hromada rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries to lead Center Moriches in a Suffolk IV opener. Dennis Hayes rushed for 165 yards on 11 carries and scored two touchdowns. Dan Heller, Hromada and Max Cintron each had a sack and Shane Gallagher, Peter Nizza and Mason Walsh each had an interception. Elijah Duncan scored a 50-yard rushing touchdown for Wyandanch.
