Suffolk football Week 8 division roundups

Suffolk Division I
Brentwood 20, Patchogue-Medford 14: Mizael Taveras forced a fumble and Cris Peralta recovered it on the Brentwood 8-yard line with 18 seconds left to seal Brentwood’s 20-14 win over host Patchogue-Medford in Suffolk Division I football on Saturday. Peralta had eight tackles, including one for a loss, and ran for 227 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries. Taveras had nine tackles and Julius Herrera had seven tackles for Brentwood (4-4). Brett Rupulo had a rushing TD and threw a TD pass to Aidyn Modeste for Patchogue-Medford (3-5).
Floyd 35, Whitman 0: Ja’Quan Thomas rushed for 205 yards and four touchdowns on 15 carries to lead host Floyd (8-0). Thomas also had a sack. Aisays Wallace had a 24-yard rushing score. Jake Rivera had six tackles, three for loss and two sacks. Jayden Johnson picked up two sacks, three tackles for loss and a fumble recovery. Whitman is 5-3.
Bay Shore 26, Riverhead 0: Xavier Hector completed 10 passes for 171 yards and three touchdowns to lead visiting Bay Shore (1-7). Cato Thomas and Khayden Alexander combined for 140 yards rushing. Kaleb Bryant caught two TD passes and had an interception. Riverhead is 0-8.
Longwood 35, Lindenhurst 21: Kyon Sarwari had 171 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries and Mark Davis had 111 yards and two touchdowns on six carries to lead host Longwood (4-4). The Longwood offensive line of Ayari Graham, Jacob Duarte, Tyler Lorentzen, Matt Reany, Ed Princivil, Michael Duarte and Keyshawn Profitt helped the Lions run for 341 yards. Craig Harty had eight tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Ryan Murgatroyd had a 60-yard TD run for Lindenhurst (5-3).
Sachem North 28, Central Islip 6: Jake Spera had 15 carries for 108 yards and two touchdowns to lead host Sachem North (6-2) on Friday. Tyler Jerome added four carries for 33 yards and a TD and Luke LaRocca ran five times for 27 yards and a score. Elijah Wellington ran for a 5-yard TD for Central Islip (2-6).
Ward Melville 35, Sachem East 0: Anthony Fardellone had seven tackles to lead host Ward Melville (7-1). Joe Karpowicz ran for a 6-yard touchdown and caught a 26-yard score from Hudson Philbrick, who added a 40-yard TD pass to Alcindor. Joe Benedetto ran for 178 yards and a touchdown. Sachem East is 3-5.
Suffolk Division II
Huntington 34, Newfield 21: Yasir Jones rushed for 267 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries to lead visiting Huntington to a 34-21 win over Newfield in Suffolk Division II football on Thursday. Ethan Lawless had an interception and two sacks. Jacob Guzik completed two passes for 85 yards, including a 56-yard TD to Chase Northrop for Huntington (6-2). Christopher Nuzzi caught a 15-yard TD pass from Connor Stebbins for Newfield (4-4). Chase Walmart and Dante Powell each added a TD run.
Deer Park 26, Centereach 6: Christian Myrick ran for 165 yards on 18 carries including touchdowns of 2 and 74 yards to lead visiting Deer Park (2-6). Anthony DeCastro ran for a 36-yard TD and a two-point conversion and Jalen Francis caught an 11-yard TD pass from Vinny Vento. Jake Mikochik ran for a TD for Centereach (1-7).
Connetquot 35, West Babylon 0: Javon Barnwell had 10 carries for 131 yards and two touchdowns, including a 90-yard score to lead visiting Connetquot (3-5). Dominic Cowans recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a TD. Caleb Maugeri had a 47-yard TD run and Jonas Mendez ran for a 3-yard score. Mendez also added 93 yards on three punt returns. West Babylon is 1-7.
Bellport 20, Smithtown East 14: On Saturday, Braydon Cipp rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries and completed 10 of 16 passes for 108 yards to lead host Bellport (5-3). Kingston John rushed for 58 yards and a TD on 13 carries. Elie Malcom caught four passes for 50 yards. Orion Beadle and Nazir Turner each had two sacks. Jack Reddock caught five passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns from Antonio Marrone for Smithtown East (5-3).
Half Hollow Hills East 43, Commack 0: Jayden Bryan rushed for 194 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries to lead visiting Half Hollow Hills East (6-2). Daniel White had 13 carries for 200 yards and two TDs and Tony Keahey had a rushing TD. Dante Milano and Akio Johnson each had six tackles. Commack is 3-5.
North Babylon 57, Copiague 21: Dominic Prestano ran for 170 yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries to lead visiting North Babylon (4-4). Jovan Greenhill rushed for 73 yards and two TDs and Jack Miller had 95 yards and a score. Greenhill, Miller and Tristan Garcia each had an interception. Trameer Jones and Jayden James each caught a TD pass from Roger Rowe for Copiague (2-6).
Suffolk Division III
Smithtown West 14, Eastport-South Manor 13: Michael Cascione had 23 carries for 188 yards and two touchdowns and blocked Eastport-South Manor’s tying PAT kick with 10 minutes left in host Smithtown West’s 14-13 Suffolk Division III football win Friday night. Cascione added eight tackles. Nick Zins had nine tackles and Joe Fitzsimmons had six tackles, including one for loss and a sack for Smithtown West (6-2). Max Ferraro ran for 64 yards and two touchdowns for ESM (4-4).
Harborfields 28, Wyandanch 13: On Saturday, Landon Paulino had six carries for 60 yards and two touchdowns and completed a 34-yard TD pass to Matthew Rampersaud to lead host Harborfields (3-5). Isaiah Ballard had nine tackles, including two for loss and recovered a fumble in the end zone for a TD. Brayden Matarese added five carries for 50 yards. Wyandanch is 0-8.
Hauppauge 46, Amityville 6: Liam O’Connor ran 14 times for 93 yards and four touchdowns and added three two-point runs in the first half to lead visiting Hauppauge (5-3). O’Connor finished the regular season with 1,020 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns. Roman Dixon caught three passes for 103 yards and a TD from Nick LaChapelle. Malik Manigat ran 14 times for 46 yards and a TD. Jacob Billinger ran for a 40-yard touchdown for Amityville (1-7).
East Hampton/Bridgehampton 35, Rocky Point 0: Jackson Ronick had 20 carries for 213 yards, including an 87-yard touchdown run, to lead visiting East Hampton/Bridgehampton (5-3). Alex Davis had 15 carries for 122 yards and two TDs. Jai Feaster added four carries for 34 yards and a score as the Bonackers totaled 387 rushing yards. Charlie Stern caught a 3-yard TD pass from Theo Ball. Rocky Point is 4-4.
Comsewogue 41, Half Hollow Hills West 14: Nick Saldino had 11 carries for 180 yards and four touchdowns to lead host Comsewogue (5-3). Jack Campagna ran 13 times for 123 yards and a TD. Dylan Giorlando recovered a fumble for a touchdown and James Ward had six tackles and two fumble recoveries. Sal Caiazzo ran for a 44-yard score and Kade Diaz added a fumble recovery for a score for Half Hollow Hills West (0-8).
Suffolk Division IV
Shoreham-Wading River 49, Port Jefferson 6: Noah Gregorek completed 6 of 10 passes for 53 yards and three touchdowns and had six carries for 113 yards and two TDs to lead host Shoreham-Wading River to a 49-6 win over Port Jefferson in Suffolk Division IV football Friday night. George Greene caught a TD pass and returned an interception 33 yards for a score. Collin Abrams and Gavin Cleary each added a TD catch. Anthony Mullen had seven carries for 44 yards and a touchdown and added a two-point run and Kyler Kuck made five PATs for Shoreham-Wading River (3-5). Neko Davis caught a 26-yard TD pass from Chris Diot for Port Jefferson (0-8).
Kings Park 63, Center Moriches 13: Aidan Barbosa had 177 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries to lead host Kings Park (3-5). Brandon Shapiro ran for 89 yards and a score and threw a 33-yard TD pass to Parker Iglio. Kevin Vasquez carried the ball 11 times for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Joey Verme had 71 rushing yards and a TD on eight carries and Gavin Moyer returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown. Angelo Urso set a school record with 9 PATs. Gage McKigney recorded a sack and Vasquez and James DeVirgilio each recovered a fumble. Caleb Delgado ran for a 10-yard touchdown and Dennis Hayes added a 6-yard rushing touchdown for Center Moriches (1-7).
Mount Sinai 26, Hampton Bays 6: On Thursday, Dontae Spadaro had eight carries for 175 yards and two touchdowns, including an 81-yard TD run to lead host Mount Sinai (6-2). Hunter Pancir had a 70-yard TD run and Vincent Graziano ran for an 18-yard TD. Mount Sinai has won four straight games and six of its last seven. Brayden Talmage ran for a 15-yard score for Hampton Bays (2-6).
