Burkey's save, Campana's goal leads NHP girls

Christina Burkey made two saves, including a diving stop to her right in the shootout and Savannah Campana scored on the seventh penalty kick as No. 12 New Hyde Park upset No. 4 West Hempstead, 4-3, Wednesday in the Class A girls soccer quarterfinals. West Hempstead's Olivia Czavar tied it with 10 minutes left. NHP (9-5-3) plays South Side at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Denton Avenue Field.

South Side 2, North Shore 0: Christina Klaum's 36th-minute goal gave No. 1 South Side (14-1-2) a 1-0 lead against No. 8 North Shore in a Class A quarters.

Garden City 2, Clarke 0:Delfey Attardi broke a scoreless tie two minutes into the second to lead No. 6 Garden City over No. 14 Clarke in the Class A quarters. Garden City (12-2-2) plays Jericho at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Denton Avenue Field.

Jericho 3, Manhasset 1:Taylor Falgoust's goal at 25:21 put No. 15 Jericho (9-5-1) up 2-1 over No. 10 Manhasset in the Class A quarters. Eden Glodstein had seven saves in her first start this season.

Connetquot 2, Deer Park 1:Raychel Diver scored the winner on a feed from Deanna Murino with 20 minutes left for No. 2 Connetquot against No. 10 Deer Park in the Class AA quarterfinals. Connetquot (15-2) hosts Smithtown East at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
