Today's game between Division and South Side was a pivitol match-up of two of the top teams in Nassau let alone Class A or Conference A-I. You can read all about Division's 2-0 win in the game story right here. The Blue Dragons (7-0, 6-0) remained undefeated and have the best record among Nassau Class A teams at the midway point of the season.

Division is the best Nassau A team on paper right now but Krista Fitzpatrick and Alexa Schneider would not say they were the best. In fact, Schneider urged Fitzpatrick not to answer whether they are the best team.

With limited space not all of what was said afterwards can make the paper so here is everything else said after the game:

Krista Fitzpatrick:

On how she and Alexa Schneider work so well on corner kicks:

Me and Lex play together on a club team so it comes from club ball and we carry it on to here. We know how each other play.

On whether Division is the best Class A team in Nassau:

We’re doing well but we still have a whole half of the season left.

Alexa Schneider (pictured above):

On Division's success so far this season:

We always work hard and even if we’re not having the best game we always manage to finish. We do get nervous but we still try to play calm, play or game and that’s what’s been working for us all season.

On what she was thinking at halftime up 2-0:

Keep the lead. Try to score more but try to stay back a little more because 2-0 is good with us against them.

Gina Fader:

On what she is thinking when her team takes a corner kick:

I know everybody’s going to finish. Alexa’s going to get up there. We have a lot of good people.

On what she was thinking about at halftime up 2-0:

It’s still 0-0. It doesn’t matter. Still got to play hard.

Division coach Steve Kissane:

On his team's success this season:

These guys have been conference champs three years in a row. I don’t know why we’re surprising to people but we are.

On Division's gameplan heading into the game:

Our game plan usually is to out-hustle people to 50-50 balls. These guys are very skilled, probably more skilled than we are. We’re strong on the ball and we try to pressure people and make them make mistakes. If we can get the ball down deep, good things happen off our corner kicks.

On whether Division is the best Class A team in the Nassau:

I don’t know. We certainly should be one of them with the way the county is set up now. Anybody in this conference could probably knock anybody else off. So for now we’ll take whatever (it says on paper). The way Nassau does it is tough with ability-based grouping but I like it because every game is like this.
