Peragallo: 5 goals

As shot after shot found the back of the net, the only question being asked on the Hauppauge girls' bench was: "Was that Steph again?"

"They had never seen someone score five goals in a game before," Hauppauge coach Jesseca Kulesa said. "They were almost questioning it, like they couldn't believe it."

Seeing is believing even if Stephanie Peragallo's teammates couldn't believe what they were seeing. Peragallo scored a career-high five goals, one shy of the school record held by Lauren McGrory, in a 5-0 win over Rocky Point on Tuesday. The junior center-midfielder scored four goals in the final 20:30 of the first half and added another midway through the second half.

"You have days where the ball goes in and you have days where it doesn't go in," Peragallo said. "That day, everything I shot happened to go in and it felt great."
