CORTLAND, N.Y. - Katie Ford scored on a header with 1:01 left in the fourth overtime period to win the game for South Side over Somers, 1-0, in the state Class A finals at Homer HS. It is the 16th state title in program history for South Side (15-2-4). Somers finishes 20-2-1.

Somers with far more subs all game long but does not appear any better off for it. Tuskers playing with a lot of injuries.

Some really nice play from both teams. Melissa Menta is doing well for Somers and creating some chances. Klaum is all over the pace, as usual, for the Cyclones and is still back in the midfield instead of the normal spot up top.
