SeniorAfter coming in second in the county tournament and leading Sayville to a Long Island championship, the Harvard-bound MacDonell defeated Suzie Lee by two stokes to win the state tournament.

SeniorAfter two straight state championships, Lee narrowly missed a third by two strokes but did win a fourth straight Suffolk county championship.

Eighth graderWon the Nassau county tournament, had a top-30 finish at states, and helped bring a fifth straight Nassau team championship to Garden City.
