Long Island Player of the Year
Sayville

Senior
After coming in second in the county tournament and leading Sayville to a Long Island championship, the Harvard-bound MacDonell defeated Suzie Lee by two stokes to win the state tournament.

SUZIE LEE
Commack

Senior
After two straight state championships, Lee narrowly missed a third by two strokes but did win a fourth straight Suffolk county championship.

SAMANTHA SESSA
Garden City

Eighth grader
Won the Nassau county tournament, had a top-30 finish at states, and helped bring a fifth straight Nassau team championship to Garden City.

ELIZABETH CHOI
Syosset

Seventh grader
Came in third at counties and led Nassau at the state tournament by shooting a 159 (82-77) to finish tied for 11th at the age of 12.

Junior
After a year away from golf, the CHSAA girls Player of the Year returned to win the individual and state tournaments and lead St. Anthony’s to a league title.

Coach of the Year
Sayville

Helped produce a county championship, Long Island championship, the girls individual state champion, and coached Suffolk to its fifth straight team state title.
