Mauricio Rivas' late goal completes Amityville's rally
Mauricio Rivas scored the winning goal on a penalty kick with five minutes left as Amityville overcame a two-goal deficit for a 3-2 win over Miller Place Monday in Suffolk League VI boys soccer.
Juan Salazar tied it at 2 for Amityville (2-1) after recovering a loose ball off a corner kick with 15 minutes left. The Warriors' Andrew Gyenis made five saves.
Cody Carey and Mike Diagati gave Miller Place a 2-0 halftime lead.
East Hampton 1, Bayport-Blue Point 0: Nick West scored unassisted with 5:25 left in the second half for East Hampton (4-0) in League VI. Glenn 1, Mt. Sinai 0: Brian Lopez headed in a corner kick off the foot of Brian Lule with 5:48 remaining in the second overtime to win it for Glenn (2-1) in League VI.
