Mauricio Rivas' late goal completes Amityville's rally

Mauricio Rivas scored the winning goal on a penalty kick with five minutes left as Amityville overcame a two-goal deficit for a 3-2 win over Miller Place Monday in Suffolk League VI boys soccer.

Juan Salazar tied it at 2 for Amityville (2-1) after recovering a loose ball off a corner kick with 15 minutes left. The Warriors' Andrew Gyenis made five saves.

Cody Carey and Mike Diagati gave Miller Place a 2-0 halftime lead.

East Hampton 1, Bayport-Blue Point 0: Nick West scored unassisted with 5:25 left in the second half for East Hampton (4-0) in League VI. Glenn 1, Mt. Sinai 0: Brian Lopez headed in a corner kick off the foot of Brian Lule with 5:48 remaining in the second overtime to win it for Glenn (2-1) in League VI. Islip 2, Westhampton 0: Neil Feminella scored twice, the first off Nick Novarro's feed for Islip (2-2) in League V. Pierson/Bridgehampton 3, Southold 2: Jack Fitzpatrick (two goals, assist) scored the game-winner in double- overtime off an assist from Jesus Padilla (goal, assist) to win it for Pierson/Bridgehampton (2-0-1) in League VIII.Farmingdale 2, Valley Stream Central 1: Anner Flores scored off an assist from Pascal Cadet with 1:30 left to win it for Farmingdale (3-0) in Conference AA-II. Nader Golshar gave the Dalers a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute. Henry Vasconez tied it in the 43rd minute for VSC.Calhoun 2, Elmont 0: Harry Davis scored twice in a 25-minute span to lift Calhoun (3-1) in Conference AA-III.

Long Beach 4, Mepham 2: Jonathan Muratori scored on a breakaway in the 63rd minute to give Long Beach (1-3-1) a 2-1 lead in Conference AA-III. Manny Flory had two goals and two assists and Thomas Marcote had five saves in the win. Wantagh 1, Hewlett 0: Patrick Quigley scored off a free kick from Chris Taibi in the 16th minute to lead Wantagh (2-0-1) in Conference A-I. Lucas Neroda made six saves, including several from close range in the second half.
