Dominic Kaczor went undefeated in sabre and Jeremy Kramer won the deciding epee bout as host Great Neck South secured a 14-11 victory over Oyster Bay Sunday in the Nassau boys fencing championships.

Kramer won the clinching match, 5-3, and Matt Kipnis defeated Oyster Bay star Nick LaRosa, 5-4, in foil to help the Rebels earn their fourth county title in six seasons.

Kaczor was 3-0, and Brian Lee (sabre) and Kody Horuchi (foil) each went 2-1 for Great Neck South. They had won three championships in a row before suffering close defeats to the Baymen in the previous two finals.

"The last two years, it went to 13-13 and came down to the last bout, and Oyster Bay won," Rebels coach Joshua Baravarian said. "Those losses were absolutely painful and heart wrenching."

Kipnis, a senior captain, brought with him a copy of the score sheet from last year's final and showed it to his teammates Sunday as a reminder "of how it felt to have a championship slip from our fingers," Baravarian said. "We used that as motivation."

Great Neck South (14-0) will face Ward Melville (14-0) for the Long Island championship, 6 p.m. Tuesday at Centereach.
