Hakimian-Kashfi win it for Great Neck North

Brooks Hakimian and Simon Kashfi defeated Bobby Katz and Chris Esposito 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 at fourth doubles Thursday as Great Neck North topped Port Washington, 8-2, in Nassau boys tennis. With the victory, Great Neck North (8-5) won the tiebreaker and advances to the playoffs and will face Syosset.

Commack 6, Whitman 3: Connor McQueeny defeated Brian Krainer, 15-9, 15-11, at first singles to lead Commack (7-5) in Suffolk.

GIRLS BADMINTON

Half Hollow Hills 7, Lindenhurst 2:Gina Augusta and Carly Cordano beat Shannon Crehan and Alissa Montalbano in first doubles, 15-8, 15-6, for Half Hollow Hills (12-0).
