High school roundup: Boys and girls lacrosse, baseball and softball, plus flag football

Emilie Hiller scored the go-ahead goal with 12 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to give host Center Moriches an 8-7 win over Hauppauge in a Suffolk League II girls lacrosse game on Thursday night.
Hiller finished with four goals. Piper Noack saved 10 shots for Center Moriches (1-9). Lilianna Hughes and Sophia Brown each scored two goals and Abigail DeSantis made 10 saves for Hauppauge (5-5).
Wantagh 10, South Side 9: Sabrina Asadurian scored a free-position goal with 2:31 left in the first overtime period to win it for Wantagh (3-9) in Nassau I. Asadurian finished with seven goals and an assist. Maddy Gonzalez saved 14 shots in the win. Olivia Mayerhofer scored four goals and Skye Korten added two goals and three assists for South Side (8-3).
Islip 13, Westhampton 10: Caitlin Barnes scored nine goals and picked up five draw controls to lead Islip (5-4) in Suffolk II. Abbey Dieumegard made eight saves. Ava Derby had four goals and an assist for Westhampton (5-5).
BOYS LACROSSE
Chaminade 15, Boston College High School 4: Brendan Sim scored three goals and fed out an assist to lead Chaminade (9-3) in non-league. Christian Atwell added three goals. William Pizzo had two goals and an assist. Kieran Walsh saved six of the 10 shots he faced.
Kellenberg 14, Cardinal Hayes 10: Finn Lavelle had five goals and three assists to lead Kellenberg (3-6) in the CHSAA. Jamison Heneghan collected two goals and three assists. Brayden Farrelly scored two goals. Dylan Roberts had a goal and two assists. Alfonso Yevoli made 13 saves.
SOFTBALL
Baldwin 9, Manhasset 8: Chloe Collado hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Baldwin (4-7) the win in Nassau IV. Amanda Aguiluz went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Liv Pascual earned the win with two strikeouts.
Plainedge 7, Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 3: Charlotte Welsh hit a two-run home run to cap a four-run fifth inning for Plainedge (8-4) in Nassau II. Savannah Speicher hit an RBI double and allowed two earned runs in a complete game. Meghan Moore went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Kailyn Eaton added two hits, an RBI and two runs scored.
Whitman 7, Central Islip 2: Brynn Iacovone struck out 16 batters in a complete game to lead Whitman (3-8) in Suffolk I. Lucy O’Loughlin had two hits and an RBI. Maya Rowser hit a two-run home run. Liana Mills hit a two-run homer for Central Islip (0-13).
BASEBALL
Brentwood 3, Floyd 2: Angel Herrera pitched a complete game, allowing one earned run and striking out five to lead Brentwood (4-7) in Suffolk I. Herrera also went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Rylain Vega went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Dominic Diaz went 2-for-4.
Floral Park 4, North Shore 2: Jake Ragusa allowed two earned runs and struck out seven to lead Floral Park (4-9) in Nassau A. Ragusa also went 2-for-3 with a home run. Tommy Imperato went 2-for-3 with an RBI. David Cabrera went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Connor Jones had a double and a run.
FLAG FOOTBALL
WEDNESDAY’S GAME
Half Hollow Hills 49, Smithtown 13: Samantha Heyman completed 16 of her 22 passes for 266 yards and six touchdowns to lead Half Hollow Hills (7-0) in Suffolk I. Heyman eclipsed the 10,000 career passing yards mark and also joined the 150 touchdown passes club. Ella Candel totaled 164 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns.
