Nusanti Delbridge scored 11 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter as Deer Park defeated Mount Sinai, 72-67, in a non-league boys basketball game on Friday. Deer Park trailed 50-46 entering the fourth quarter. Brandon Sorrese added 18 points and Drew Delargy had 14 points for Deer Park (3-0). Brian Vales had 27 points for Mt. Sinai (2-1).
Brentwood 58, Patchogue-Medford 42: Abraham Donovan scored 12 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter to lead Brentwood (2-1) in Suffolk I. Trey McMillan added 16 points and eight rebounds and Tyheem Nason added 10 points and four assists. Gio Hopwood had 23 points for Patchogue-Medford (0-4).
Whitman 48, Sachem East 41: Jack Bell scored 29 points and Jason Thompson added 13 points to lead Whitman (3-0).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Smithtown East 48, Half Hollow Hills East 41: Lauren Mahoney had 16 points and McKenna Burton added nine points to lead Smithtown East (3-1) in Suffolk III. Marisa Dominic and Samantha Heyman each had 10 points for Half Hollow Hills East (2-2).
South Side 66, Elmont 37: Sophia Corvetti scored 20 points to lead South Side (2-3) in Nassau AA-III. Summer Stack and Ellie Lennon both scored 10 points. Kayla Latiff scored 20 points for Elmont (1-1).
