Everett Zarzicki pitched a no-hitter with seven strikeouts and no walks on 79 pitches to lead Kings Park to a 5-0 win over Miller Place in Suffolk VI baseball on Thursday. Brandon Hauk went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI and Giuseppe Buffolino went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Michael Cooper and Nick Paliotta each had an RBI for Kings Park (5-0).

FRIDAY’S GAME

Sachem North 5, Bay Shore 2: Ryan Palm pitched a complete game, allowing two runs on six hits with 10 strikeouts and no walks, to lead Sachem North (4-1) in Suffolk II on Friday. James Horodyski went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.

THURSDAY’S GAMES

Plainedge 10, Locust Valley 9: Lia Villari scored the winning goal in quadruple overtime to lead Plainedge (2-1) in Nassau II. Villari had three goals and Reagan Morra added two goals and four assists. Tessa Matisse scored six goals and Emery DeLauzon made 11 saves for Locust Valley (0-2).

West Hempstead 11, Elmont 10: Elizabeth Poirot had the winning goal in double overtime to lead West Hempstead (1-1-1) in Nassau IV. Poirot finished with four goals and four assists and Daniella Healy and Ivana Jiminez each added three goals and one assist. Ivie Ilhaza had four goals and one assist for Elmont (1-3).

SOFTBALL

St. Anthony’s 6, Donovan Catholic (NJ) 0: Sophia Erker went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs to lead St. Anthony’s (3-0) in non-league on Friday. Mila Fiordalisi tossed a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts and Ava Vandernoth went 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Comsewogue 18, Amityville 0: Maggie Burrell pitched a five-inning no-hitter with 10 strikeouts for Comsewogue (4-0) in non-league. Burrell also went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three runs and three RBIs. Adrianna Napolitano went 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs. Jules Manteiga went 2-for-2 with four RBIs.

Smithtown East 12, Lindenhurst 11: Sam Brescia hit a walk-off single to drive in Casey Connelly in the seventh inning to lead Smithtown East (4-2) in Suffolk II. Connelly tied the score with a two-run double, and Leila Picolli went 4-for-4 with four doubles, four RBIs and two runs.

BOYS LACROSSE

St. John the Baptist 11, Christian Brothers Academy (NJ) 5: Matt Rotolo had two goals and two assists to lead St. John the Baptist (3-1) in non-league on Friday. Shane McCauley and Nick Reffi each had two goals. Jack Montagano won 80% of his faceoffs and Will Shaw had 10 saves.

Bay Shore 10, Sachem East 7: Dennis Hodge won 19 of 19 faceoffs and scored three goals for Bay Shore (4-2) in Suffolk I. Sam Stewart had a goal and three assists. Joseph D’Orazio had two goals and an assist for Sachem East (1-3).

Northport 13, West Islip 6: Meghan Ronan scored two touchdowns, a 5-yard reception and a 15-yard run, to lead Northport (1-0) in Suffolk II. Grace Gilmartin had 165 scrimmage yards, Hazel Carlson pulled 11 flags and Kate Pitfick had two interceptions. Gabby Ladonna threw a 60-yard touchdown pass to Mia Cuozzo for West Islip (0-1).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Montverde Academy (Florida) 79, Long Island Lutheran 78: Jaloni Cambridge hit a running jumper as time expired to give Montverde Academy the victory over Lutheran in the semifinals of the Chipotle Nationals in Brownsburg, Indiana on Friday. Cambridge finished with 33 points and 11 assists as Montverde Academy outscored Lutheran 26-16 in the fourth quarter. Kayleigh Heckel had 32 points and seven assists and Syla Swords added 16 points and seven rebounds for Lutheran. Swords made two foul shots with 6.6 seconds left to give Lutheran a 78-77 lead before Cambridge’s winning basket. Montverde Academy improved to 23-4. Lutheran is 21-2.
