The Sachem North boys basketball team is playoff bound after Yovanny Marmol posted 18 points, four rebounds and four assists to lead his team past Lindenhurst, 59-50, Wednesday in Suffolk’s League II. Jacob Steffens added 14 points and 13 rebounds. Joey Vulin had 10 points for Sachem North (9-10).

Jonathan Jimenez and Gino Thevenin scored 12 points apiece for Lindenhurst (4-16).

TUESDAY’S GAMES

Carle Place 59, Cold Spring Harbor 43: Ryan Leary had 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Carle Place (11-6) in Nassau VIII and help coach John Cantwell earn his 200th career victory. Caden Saccone had 10 points and seven assists. Grayden Vitagliano led Cold Spring Harbor (9-7) with 17 points.

East Rockaway 53, Oyster Bay 40: Sean Smith led East Rockaway (3-13) with 20 points in Suffolk VIII. Chase Lordi led all scorers with 21 points for Oyster Bay (7-10).

Half Hollow Hills East 65, West Babylon 45: Adrian Merchant had a career-high 32 points on senior night for Half Hollow Hills East (10-8) in Suffolk III. Reece Weinkranz chipped in with eight points. Danny Rose and Noah Rosa both scored 17 points for West Babylon (4-15).

St. Mary’s 92, St. Dominic 89: Hank Williams Jr. scored a game-high 30 points for St. Mary’s (13-5) in its CHSAA win. Justin Mompoint added 25 points and Morell Toney had 12 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Melo Mojeed had 29 points for St. Dominic (14-7). Nick Anso and Nick Lang scored 16 points apiece.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Whitman 63, Floyd 39: Hannah Creighton and Madi Richter scored 18 points each for Whitman (16-1) in Suffolk I. Jazmynn Julien added 17 points. Savannah Pantry led Floyd (16-4) with eight points.

Freeport 65, Farmingdale 44: Shaniya Bonny scored 26 points to lead Freeport (15-2) in Nassau AAA-I. Madison Starks added 13 points and Madison Harris chipped in 10 points. Molly McNamara scored 25 points for Farmingdale (7-8).

TUESDAY’S GAMES

Wantagh 52, Lynbrook 50: Kayla Mannix had 19 points, 12 rebounds and seven steals, including the go-ahead layup inside the final 30 seconds for Wantagh (15-2) in Nassau A-I. Isabelle Ferraro had a game-high 20 points. Sophia Sirufo had 16 points for Lynbrook (7-11).

Seaford 60, Malverne 57: Emily McGowan hit what proved to be the game-winning shot and finished with 21 points and five steals for Seaford (12-5) in Nassau A-II. Bridget Grosser sat the third quarter with four fouls before scoring seven of her 13 points in the fourth quarter, adding six assists. Jozie Collichio had six points, eight assists, five rebounds and two steals. Neveah Lopez led all scorers with 30 points, eight rebounds and two assists for Malverne (9-8).

GYMNASTICS

Hicksville 159.55, Bethpage 156.75: Adriana White of Hicksville (6-5) took first in the all-around with a 32.85 and first on beam with an 8.65. Grace Scelzi placed first on bars with an 8.25. Alina Richer of Bethpage (2-8) took second in the all-around with a score of 32.75. Kaya Drouin placed third in the all-around with a score of 32.6 and first on floor with a score of 9.05.

Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 171.35, Syosset 171.35: In a rare tied match, Sofia Rosamilia won the all-around for Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK (11-0-1) with a score of 34.8. Meadow Cook placed first on beam with a 9.05 and Addie Simon placed first on floor with a 9.35. Sophia Bahiri of Syosset (8-0-1) took first on vault (8.7) and bars (9.25).
