Jesse Durham made two free throws with 0.5 seconds remaining to give Floyd a two-possession lead in the Colonials’ 61-57 victory over Whitman in Suffolk I boys basketball on Tuesday.

Sharod Sutton Jr. scored 17 points, JJ Smith added 16 and Durham contributed 11 for Floyd (15-1). Jason Thompson led all scorers with 32 points and Jack Bell had 14 for Whitman (12-4).

Riverhead 56, Longwood 53: Josiah Rodney scored 18 points to lead Riverhead (5-12) in Suffolk I. Landon Zaleski had 13 points and Anaiis Mitchell added 12. Dominic Bosak led Longwood (10-5) with 13 points.

Southold 57, Shelter Island 45: Kyan Olsen scored 21 points to lead Southold (11-6) in Suffolk VII. Travis Sepenoski added 13 points. Evan Weslek scored 28 points and Ari Waife had 11 points for Shelter Island (2-9).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

New Hyde Park 53, Great Neck South 32: Kayden Erazo scored 14 of her 23 points in the first half to lead New Hyde Park (9-6) in Nassau AA-I. Breanne Noguera added 12 points. Hayden Kong scored 11 points for Great Neck South (2-11).

Ward Melville 65, Connetquot 44: Jaclyn Engel had 30 points and five assists and Jenna Greek had 25 points, including seven three-pointers, and seven rebounds to lead Ward Melville (12-2) in Suffolk II. Quinlan Heilbron had 10 steals, five assists and five rebounds, Addison Scott had eight points, 15 rebounds and three blocks and Kaitlyn McNeil added 12 rebounds. Bella Franck scored 11 points for Connetquot (7-10). Laila Folks and Emma Zuccaro each added 10 points.

East Islip 56, Smithtown East 52: Cailyn Talt made two free throws to seal the game for East Islip (9-7) in Suffolk III. Talt finished the game with eight points. Anna Kohlohoff had a career-high 22 points, including five three-pointers. Pia Smaldone scored 17 points. Carolyn Brennan had a game-high 23 points for Smithtown East (8-9).

Bayport-Blue Point 50, Center Moriches 39: Conner Leahy scored 14 points to lead Bayport-Blue Point (8-8) in Suffolk VI. Kailey Bruckner had 11 points and Alia Cahil added 10 points. Lia Taylor scored 16 points (4-11).

BOYS BOWLING

Islip 34, Whitman 2: Anthony Bullaro shot a 247, 244 and 256 for a 747 series to lead Islip (14-1) in Suffolk I. Gavin Connell shot a 246 in Game 1 and John Swindells added a 235 in Game 2 for Islip. Jose Duarte shot a 221 in Game 3 for Whitman (6-8).

Smithtown 36, Huntington 0: Derek Saitta rolled a 227 high game in Game 2 of a 615 series to lead Smithtown (9-5) in Suffolk III.

Floyd 31, Bay Shore 5: Nicholas Powers had a 597 series, Gino Conforti rolled a 595 series and Devin Scalice bowled a 592 series to lead Floyd (12-2) in Suffolk II. Jaiden Reyes rolled a 224 as part of a 604 series for Bay Shore (5-7).

Eastport-South Manor 34, Sayville 2: Aaron Mazovec rolled a 220 in Game 2 to help lead Eastport-South Manor (12-1) in Suffolk II.

Connetquot 32, Bellport 4: Chris Smith rolled a 622 series to lead Connetquot (10-3) in Suffolk II. Jude Leutchford bowled a 518 series for Bellport (2-11).

Bayport-Blue Point 23, Patchogue-Medford 13: Joey D’Amico bowled a 214 in the third game to lead Bayport-Blue Point (7-6) in Suffolk II. Jackson Rall bowled a 236 in the third game for Patchogue-Medford (5-8).

GIRLS BOWLING

Longwood 25, Patchogue-Medford 15: Kaylee Dwyer rolled a 258 high in Game 1 of a 738 series to lead Longwood (11-0) in Suffolk I. Avery Frank rolled a 232 in Game 1.

Comsewogue 37, Middle Country 3: Rosalie Manfre rolled a high game of 200 as part of a 545 series to lead Comsewogue (9-1) in Suffolk I. Izzy Grillo rolled a 193 in Game 3 of a 510 series. Mikayla Reyes had a 186 high game and Emma Short rolled a 164 in Game 2.

GYMNASTICS

Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 171.5, Lynbrook 153.75: Sofia Rosamilla placed first in all-around with a 35.35 to lead Plainview-Old Bethpage in Nassau I. Rosamilla also placed first on bars with a 9.1 and on beam with an 8.95. Andi Yu placed first on floor with a 9.4. Gianna Marafiotti of Lynbrook placed first on vault with a 9.1.
