Zach Adelstein fired a one-hitter and struck out nine to lead No. 3 Bellmore JFK past No. 10 Bethpage, 3-0, in the Nassau Class AA playoffs. Ryan Yormack went 3-for-3 and smacked a three-run home run in the third inning. Bellmore JFK (15-4) will host No. 6 MacArthur at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Bethpage finishes with a 10-13 record.
Garden City 9, Manhasset 0: Joe Carey gave up one hit and one walk over six scoreless innings and struck out 13 to help No. 1 Garden City knock out No. 12 Manhasset in the Nassau Class AA playoffs. Chris Desiderio hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning. Garden City (18-3) will host No. 8 Calhoun on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Manhasset finished 6-14-1.
Clarke 13, Long Beach 1: James Beckworth went 2-for-4 with five RBIs to help No. 2 Clarke eliminate No. 11 Long Beach in the Nassau Class AA playoffs. Richard Luke and Mike Iadevaia combined to throw a one-hitter with seven strikeouts. Clarke (18-3) will host No. 7 Carey on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Long Beach finished 5-14.
South Side 5, Division 2: Ethan Johnson broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run triple in the fifth inning to push No. 4 South Side past No. 5 Division in the Nassau Class AA playoffs. Jack Boyens went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. South Side (12-6-1) will host No. 9 Mepham at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Division finished 15-7.
Deer Park 4, Half Hollow Hills East 3: Joe Geosits drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh inning to drive in Nico Hendrickson with the walk-off run for Deer Park (5-12) against Half Hollow Hills East (12-6) in Suffolk IV. Rocky Point 2, Islip 0: Colin Ark pitched a one-hit shutout with 14 strikeouts for Rocky Point (5-12) past Islip (3-15) in Suffolk VI.
SOFTBALL
Clarke 8, Garden City 7: Analinda Moran threw 4 2⁄3 hitless innings of relief, striking out five to lead No. 7 Clarke over No. 10 Garden City in the first round of the Nassau Class AA playoffs. Giselle Palumbo went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Clarke (12-9) will visit No. 2 Mepham for a best-of-three series in the quarterfinals beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Garden City finished 14-5.
Whitman 2, Longwood 1: Brynn Iacovone struck out 17 batters and scattered five hits in a complete game for Whitman (14-6) against Longwood (10-9) in Suffolk I.
Miller Place 13, Sayville 7: Laney Vomero hit a grand slam in the sixth inning and Delaney Schleider followed with a solo home run for Miller Place (15-3) against Sayville (7-12) in Suffolk V.
MONDAY’S GAME
Ward Melville 4, Huntington 2: Makenna Steinberg struck out seven across a no-hitter, allowing two unearned runs and four walks on 104 pitches, for Ward Melville (14-4) versus Huntington (1-17) in Suffolk II. Julianna Russ went 2-for-4, collecting her 100th career hit.

Bay Shore 8, Half Hollow Hills 7: Marina Judice scored the winning goal with 1:49 remaining in the game for Bay Shore (7-8) against Half Hollow Hills (8-7) in Suffolk I.
BOYS LACROSSE
Great Neck North 8, Freeport 7: Brian Scheidt made 22 saves to lead Great Neck North (7-4-2) past Freeport in Nassau III-B. Malik Grover had 14 saves, including his 500th career save, for Freeport (8-7).
South Side 13, Seaford 11: Alec Notaro went 27-for-28 at the faceoff X while Jack Muscarella and John Hawthorne each had four goals and an assist for South Side (10-5) in Nassau I-B. Brian Falk had four goals and two assists for Seaford (4-8).
Northport 17, Sachem North 11: Gavin O’Brien scored four goals and dished for six assists for Northport (13-2) in Suffolk I. Ryder Maag and Greyson Cabrera scored four goals each. Stephen Castellano scored five goals for Sachem North (12-3).
Commack 8, Sachem East 6: Tommy Grabow scored four goals for Commack (6-9) in Suffolk I. Christopher Cirillo made 19 saves. James Dee had two goals and an assist for Sachem East (9-6).
St. Dominic 15, St. Mary’s 3: Brian Medley had four goals and two assists for No. 1 St. Dominic over No. 4 St. Mary’s (3-8) in the semifinals of the NSCHSAA Class A playoffs. St. Dominic (8-2) will host No. 2 Holy Trinity for the league championship at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Centre Island Beach Field.
