Sean Morrissey posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds while also dishing out two assists to lead St. Anthony’s boys basketball to a 68-52 win over Roslyn on Saturday in the Public vs. Private Challenge at Elmont.

Morrissey was named the game’s Most Valuable Player. Kahmel Wilmot contributed 20 points and four rebounds and Kevin Moore racked up 19 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Friars (3-1). Ben Pnini scored 14 points for Roslyn (4-1).

Chaminade 56, Elmont 40: Jake Ellwood had 13 points and Mike Wede had 12 points and six rebounds for Chaminade (3-2). Kesaan Thompson scored eight points for Elmont (0-4).

Jericho 61, Calhoun 47: Casey Deutsch scored 23 points to lead Jericho (4-1) in Nassau III. Matt Spector added 15 points. Ashton Pierre-Charles led all scorers with 24 points for Calhoun (3-3).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Calhoun 60, Jericho 52: Lia Biscardi led Calhoun (4-1) with 16 points in Nassau AA-I. Julia Kopelman added 11 points. Sonia Ngai had 13 points for Jericho (5-1).

Kellenberg 55, Garden City 42: Ella Merkle led Kellenberg (3-1) with 15 points and four assists in non-league. Gabby Pota had 11 points and eight rebounds. Grace Brantuk scored 17 points for Garden City (1-2).

Smithtown Christian 56, Pierson 51: Annalyn Loiacono and Nadia Manu led Smithtown Christian (4-1) with 19 and 18 points, respectively, in Suffolk VII. Josie Mott led all scorers with 22 points for Pierson (3-1).
