Ruby Shaberman and Sophia Dura defeated Olivia Casavecchia and Camila Montano at second doubles in a three-set thriller, 4-6, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (2), to lead host Oceanside to a 4-3 victory over Lynbrook in a Nassau Conference II-B girls tennis match in Oceanside on Thursday night. At third singles, Lola Reddy defeated Lily Cooper in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3, for Oceanside (4-3). Sophie Giddings and Shelli Tetelman beat Vivian Berman and Harper Levy at fourth doubles, 6-2, 6-2, for Lynbrook (4-3).
Northport 4, North Babylon 3: Ceci DeYoung and Julia Desena defeated Mia Ramos and Ella Edwards in straight sets at second doubles, 6-1, 6-0, to lead Northport (4-1) in Suffolk I. For North Babylon (2-3), Alyson Loaiza beat Emily Smith at first singles, 6-1, 7-6 (4).
BOYS GOLF
Sayville 5.5, Bayport-Blue Point 2.5: Ray Woolsey and Freddie Munter each shot an even-par 36 on the front nine of West Sayville Golf Course to lead Sayville (3-0) in Suffolk V. Kaide Capurso led all players, shooting a 3-under 33 for Bayport Blue Point (3-2).
BOYS SOCCER
Plainedge 1, Lawrence 0: Ryan Haywacker scored in the 60th minute and Brandon Clifford made 10 saves to lead Plainedge (2-1-2) in Nassau A. Kevin Valle saved 10 shots for Lawrence (1-3-1).
Shoreham-Wading River 3, Miller Place 0: Zach Makarewicz and John Zoumas each totaled a goal and an assist to lead Shoreham-Wading River (2-1-1) to a Suffolk V victory. Ferris Spulher saved six shots to keep a clean sheet. Spencer Rock made six saves for Miller Place (0-4-1).
Lynbrook 7, Island Trees 1: Nikolai Lyubomirskiy scored four goals and Nico Davies added a goal and two assists to lead Lynbrook (1-4-1) in Nassau A. Jose Yapan made two assists. Daniel Singh scored a goal for Island Trees (1-3-2).
Garden City 2, Jericho 0: Thomas Schreier and Francesco Mazzella each scored a goal to lead Garden City (6-1) past Jericho (0-6-1) in Nassau AA-I.
Oyster Bay 5, Calhoun 2: Griffin Launer scored two goals to lead Oyster Bay (4-1) past Calhoun (1-5) in non-league.
East Islip 2, Deer Park 2: Chase Engel scored the game-tying goal in the 78th minute and ultimately send it to overtime for East Islip (2-1-2) in a Suffolk III draw. Nick Frisina also scored and JJ Kilfoil made five saves. Saul Peraza tallied a goal and Deniz Jusuf later scored on a corner kick to help Deer Park (2-2-1) gain a tie.
Huntington 4, Smithtown East 0: Ezra Oddoye scored two goals and Laquan Burton and Noah Garcia each scored one to lead Huntington (7-0) past Smithtown East (1-5) in Suffolk III.
Northport 3, Half Hollow Hills East 0: Jaden Guardado had a goal and an assist to lead Northport (3-1-2) past Half Hollow Hills East (2-3) in Suffolk III.
Rocky Point 3, Sayville 0: Landon Bonamo had a goal and an assist to lead Rocky Point (3-2) past Sayville (0-5-1) in Suffolk V.
GIRLS SOCCER
Clarke 2, Locust Valley 2: Alison DeLuca and Alexa Maia each scored an unassisted goal for Clarke (3-1-1) and Maddie Farren scored both goals for Locust Valley (3-2-1) in a Nassau AB-III draw.
Commack 2, North Babylon 0: Breanna Mender scored in the 35th minute to put the game out of reach for Commack (3-1) in Suffolk I. Valentina Castelli scored on a penalty kick earlier in the first half. Alexa Furman made 12 saves for North Babylon (1-3).
Island Trees 7, Friends Academy 2: Michaela Murphy scored two goals to lead Island Trees (8-0) in Nassau A/B-II. Elena Jewett and Kalli Martinez each added a goal and an assist. Dahlia Diaz and Isabella Martinez scored for Friends Academy (1-3).
