Josh Berger had seven goals and an assist to lead Roslyn over host Lynbrook, 14-8, in Nassau II-A boys lacrosse on Tuesday. Teammate Gavin Ryback added five goals and three assists, both performances totaling 16points.
Zach Mashaal made eight saves for Roslyn (4-2).
BASEBALL
Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 4, Oceanside 2: Joey DiLeo went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run to lead Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK in Nassau AAA-I. DiLeo’s double in the e sixth inning gave the Hawks a 4-0 lead. Ryan Paradiso allowed two hits and struck out four in five innings. Timmy McDonough went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Plaiview-Old Bethpage JFK (3-0).
Division 10, New Hyde Park 0: Jack Harrington went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and Frank Maiorano had a two-run double to lead Division (2-1) in non-league. Tyler Scarry allowed three hits and had a two-run single.
Valley Stream South 7, Malverne 1: Peter Grief allowed one run, five hits and had 12 strikeouts. He scored two runs and stole three bases to lead Valley Stream South (3-1) in Nassau B. Danny Casey had two RBIs, two runs and three stolen bases. Zach Dyer went 3-for-4 with an RBI.
SOFTBALL
Central Islip 12, Floyd 6: Stevey Duval pitched a complete game, striking out 16 and allowing one earned run to lead Central Islip (2-2) in Suffolk I. Duval also went 1-for-3 with a double and drove in two runs. Lianna Mills went 2-for-5 with a home run and had three RBIs.
Miller Place 7, Hampton Bays 1: Tiffany Clasen struck out eight in three scoreless innings and hit her first varsity home run to lead Miller Place in Suffolk V. Delaney Schleider went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI and Kelsey Hoffman went 3-for-4 with two runs.
Floral Park 19, New Hyde Park 5: Chloe Zielinski had eight strikeouts to lead Floral Park (2-2) in Nassau IV. Maddie Sica went 2-for-2 with a triple.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Eastport-South Manor 11, Bayport-Blue Point 10: Kate Valenti had three goals and an assist to lead Eastport-South Manor (3-1) in Suffolk II. Molly McGuire had a goal and three assists and Katelynn Murtha, Taylor Murtha and Alexa Quiery each added two goals and an assist. Kailey Bruckner scored four goals for Bayport-Blue Point (1-1).
Manhasset 20, Wantagh 4: Dylan Lambert had four goals and an assist to lead Manhasset (3-0) in Nassau I. Riley Williams and Danielle Perfetto both had three goals.
Kings Park 14, Center Moriches 5: Sophia Russo had three goals and four assists to lead Kings Park (4-1) in Suffolk II. Emily Hnis had four goals and an assist. Avery Brown scored three goals.
FLAG FOOTBALL
Sayville 20, Eastport-South Manor 0: Ella Trama rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns on four carries to lead Sayville (1-1) in Suffolk II. Aniella Marino rushed for 63 yards and a score on six carries and completed 9 of 14 passes for 71 yards.
Half Hollow Hills 39, Comsewogue 0: Samantha Heyman completed 17 passes for 297 yards and four touchdowns to lead Half Hollow Hills (3-0) in non-league. Zoe Franks caught seven passes for 83 yards and a score. Drew Kesselman had three catches for 80 yards and two touchdowns. Emma Could had three sacks and seven flag pulls.
