Tatiana Rosello hit a walk-off single in the seventh inning to lift Valley Stream South to an 11-10 win over Malverne in a Nassau Conference VI softball game on Saturday. Valley Stream South (3-1) trailed 7-0 early on and 10-9 entering the bottom of the seventh. Maya Miller and Mikayla Wheeler hit consecutive singles in the seventh and Ariana Perez drove in the tying run. Nirvana Cole struck out 11 and Olivia Jenkins hit a homer for Malverne (3-3).

Bethpage 2, Island Trees 0: Madison Mandra struck out six in a four-hit shutout for Bethpage (4-0) in Nassau III. Rylee Petruskie drove in Gabby Keener and Gianna Vertuccio with a double in the third inning.

Centereach 6, Hauppauge 0: Peyton Dost (five strikeouts) pitched a three-hitter for Centereach (1-3) in non-league. Brooke Bauer went 4-for-4, Madison Conti went 2-for-4 and Brooke Gullo went 2-for-4 and scored two runs.

BASEBALL

Massapequa 3, Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 1: George Adams struck out seven in four innings and Tom Harding allowed no hits in a three-inning save for Massapequa (3-1) in a Nassau AAA crossover conference game. Travis Gfrerer hit a solo home run in the second inning.

Harborfields 4, Hampton Bays 3: Joe Deceglie, who went 2-for-3 with a walk, scored the walk-off run on a throwing error for Harborfields (2-0) in Suffolk VI. Rufus Rathbun pitched five scoreless innings. Patrick Donahue went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored for Hampton Bays (0-5).

Chaminade 8, Holy Trinity 3: John Murray struck out five in five innings for Chaminade (2-2) in the NSCHSAA. Mike Cervoni was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Colin Anderson went 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

BOYS LACROSSE

New Hyde Park 13, Jericho 12: Aidan Garvey split two defenders before scoring the winning goal with 43 seconds left in the first overtime for New Hyde Park (3-2) in Nassau B. The goal came with New Hyde Park down a man. Garvey had three goals and three assists and Cody McClean had seven goals. Tyler Chawla and Josh Rubin each scored four goals and Arion Hart had 11 saves for Jericho (5-2).

Farmingdale 4, Christian Brothers Academy (Middletown, N.J.) 3: Brendan O’Keefe scored with 3:29 left in the first overtime for Farmingdale (5-1) in non-league. J.J. Damo won the opening faceoff of overtime, which led to O’Keefe’s goal. Jimmy Caputo made 16 saves. Sal Posillico, Kevin Renneisen and Jack Watrou each had a goal.

Smithtown West 6, Comsewogue 4: Necco Cottage won 13 faceoffs and Dylan Bonasera made nine saves for Smithtown West (4-1) in Suffolk II. John Savino and Liam Byrne each had two goals and one assist. Connor Rocchio had two goals and an assist for Comsewogue (1-3).

Westhampton 7, Eastport-South Manor 6: Finn Drake had four goals and an assist to lead Westhampton (4-2) in Suffolk II. Dante Mansfield added two goals and an assist and Charlie Beasley made eight saves. Preston Vinch had four goals and an assist for Eastport-South Manor (2-4).

GIRLS LACROSSE

Bellmore JFK 7, Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 6: Ella Galjanich had three goals and one assist for Bellmore JFK (2-3) in Nassau III. Kaylee Ayers had two goals and an assist and Adrianna Califano made seven saves. Kayla Leibowitz scored two goals for Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK (0-5).

Hicksville 9, Division 8: Payton Charan scored the winning goal with 5:44 remaining to lead Hicksville (5-2) in Nassau III. Gwen Kohart scored the tying goal with 8:50 left. Kohart and Brooke Sullivan-Pagano each had three goals, Charan scored two goals and Roslyn Feliciano made 13 saves. Mia Gray scored three goals for Division (2-3).

Lindenhurst 7, North Babylon 6: Eighth-grader Samantha Quirke picked up a ground ball and scored the winning goal with six minutes left for Lindenhurst (3-2) in Suffolk I. Emma Burmeister scored three goals and Bella Wolff had 10 saves. Kat Iudica had three goals and two assists for North Babylon (1-3).
