Chloe Zielinski tossed a no-hitter, striking out eight and walking four in Floral Park’s 4-0 win over North Shore in Nassau IV softball on Thursday. Zielinski also scored a run and stole a base. Kira Zielinski had a hit, an RBI and scored a run. Riley Turner hit a double and drove in two runs for Floral Park (8-5).

Baldwin 3, Wheatley 1: Liv Pascual hit a two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning and struck out nine for Baldwin (6-8) in Nassau IV. Akua Bonsu had a hit and two runs scored.

Half Hollow Hills 4, Whitman 3: Juliana Catalano hit a walk-off two-run single for Half Hallow Hills (7-6) in Suffolk I. Half Hollow Hills entered the seventh trailing by three. Avery Yopp doubled in the seventh and scored on a ground ball by Gia Piscitielli and Danica Golden hit a double to score the second run. Brynn Iacovone struck out eight for Whitman (10-4)

Shoreham-Wading River 6, Center Moriches: Mia Dettleff went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored for Shoreham-Wading River (10-4) in Suffolk VI. Lauren Gallucci recorded the win, striking out 14 over seven innings. Ava Andersen struck out five for Center Moriches (7-7).

BASEBALL

Plainedge 6, Wantagh 0: Taylor Nitsch tossed a complete-game shutout and struck out 11 for Plainedge (15-0) in Nassau A. Bobby Wescott went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run. Jaxson Torres went 2-for-3 with a solo homer.

Brentwood 6, Whitman 2: Rylain Vega allowed one hit, struck out five over six innings, and had a hit and RBI for Brentwood (5-9) in Suffolk I.

Miller Place 2, Port Jefferson 1: James DiGennaro’s walk-off single in the seventh drove Kyle Diamond home for Miller Place (9-3) in Suffolk VI. Jacob Marcario threw four scoreless innings and struck out three. Shane Kiernan had a hit and an RBI. Anthony Falino threw three innings of relief to earn the win.

BOYS LACROSSE

Long Beach 10, Seaford 9: Cian Donaghy had two goals and two assists and Ryan Farrell scored three goals for Long Beach (6-7) in Nassau I-B. Dylan Brown and Jonathan Hayes each had a goal and an assist. Aiden DeRupo made 18 saves. Logan DiFondi and Brian Falk each scored two goals for Seaford (3-6).

Clarke 8, Bellmore JFK 7: Liam Morgan scored the game-winning goal with 2:30 left in overtime for Clarke (8-2) in non-league. Morgan finished with three goals. Everett Barsuaskas had three goals and an assist.

East Islip 10, Shoreham-Wading River 9: AJ Ierardi scored the tying goal with 1:40 left in regulation and Owen Madden scored the game-winner 52 seconds into overtime for East Islip (6-6) in Suffolk II. Madden finished with three goals and an assist, Brandon Kraft added three goals and three assists and Luke Rochford made 12 saves. Lucas Diamond had three goals and three assists, Noah Gregorek had four goals and an assist and Colin Abrams made nine saves for Shoreham-Wading River (6-5).

Mount Sinai 6, Smithtown West 5: DJ Darling and William Glandorf each scored two goals to lead Mount Sinai (8-4) in Suffolk II. Sean Steimle made 16 saves. Josh Hoffman and Jake Rearick each had a goal and an assist for Smithtown West (7-6).

Westhampton 11, Rocky Point 10: Dan Shannon scored with 1:40 left in regulation to give Westhampton (8-5) a two-goal lead in Suffolk II. Shannon also made an assist. Jake Calloway had three goals and two assists. Riley Maire scored four goals and Nolan Drake added three goals.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Syosset 13, North Shore 9: Peyton Chuntz had five goals and an assist for Syosset (9-5) in Nassau I. Julie Shaughnessy had three goals and three assists. Jadyn Stadler scored two goals. Lila Archer scored four goals for North Shore (0-14).

Floyd 14, Patchogue-Medford 7: Emma DiMaio had four goals and six assists to lead Floyd (9-3) in Suffolk I. Ava Tiedemann had five goals and an assist. Rylie Wiegand had four goals and two assists.

FLAG FOOTBALL

Deer Park 30, Rocky Point 6: Taylor Gabel threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 104 yards and two TDs for Deer Park (9-1) in Suffolk II. Destinee Williamson had eight receptions for 84 yards and a score. Kasumi Dennis had seven flag pulls and three sacks.
