High school roundup: Boys and girls basketball games, plus boys and girls bowling matches

Justin Serio had 23 points, 10 rebounds and six steals to lead Bethpage to a 60-58 win over Division in Nassau Conference V boys basketball on Thursday. Bethpage’s defense forced a miss under the basket on the final play of the game to seal the win. Mateo Alvarez had 10 points and six rebounds as Bethpage (7-4) earned its fifth straight win.
Isaiah Faton scored 14 points for Division (3-6). Sebastian Stewart added 13 points and Jack Lanyo had 11 points.
WEDNESDAY’S GAMES
Kings Park 65, Amityville 59: Michael Svolos scored 19 of a career-high 23 points in the second half to lead Kings Park (6-3) in Suffolk V. Kyle Edmundson had 17 points, 14 rebounds, six blocks and four assists and Charlie Pace added 12 points. Amir Dickerson and Allan Dodson-Isabell each scored 19 points for Amityville (3-4).
Westbury 53, Baldwin 50: Petshley Louissaint had 23 points and 14 rebounds to lead Westbury (6-3) in Nassau II. Zion Mitchell had 10 points, nine assists and six rebounds and Tristan Johnson added six points, eight assists and four rebounds. Ethan Sainsbury led Baldwin (6-1) with 26 points.
Hempstead 66, Massapequa 61: Amare Collins scored 22 points and Jonathan Davis added 18 points to lead Hempstead (5-4) in Nassau I. John Neary scored 13 points and Will Leszczak had 10 points for Massapequa (5-4).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Commack 38, Copiague 34: Gianna Solch scored 12 points to lead Commack (4-5) in Suffolk II. Ashley Arizonis and Adi DeLeon each added seven points. Janiya Morris scored 10 points and Frederika Cooper added eight points for Copiague (7-2).
WEDNESDAY’S GAMES
Deer Park 48, Half Hollow Hills East 45: Samaya Rahaman made a three-pointer with five seconds left to give Deer Park (4-6) a two-point lead in Suffolk III. Destinee Williamson had a steal on Hills East’s final possession. Jamirah Jones had 17 points and Savannah Singleton had six of her 12 points in the fourth quarter. Ava Agudio scored 13 points and Marisa Dominic had 12 points for Hills East (5-4).
Mount Sinai 62, Hampton Bays 24: Mia Betancourt had 10 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists to lead Mount Sinai (8-3) in Suffolk VI. Addison Chartrand scored 20 points, including four three-pointers. Lexi Cergol had 16 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. Camilla Powers scored 11 points for Hampton Bays (3-6).
BOYS BOWLING
Eastport-South Manor 31, Patchogue-Medford 5: Alex Silbert rolled a 259 in Game 2 of a 681 series to lead Eastport-South Manor (6-1) in Suffolk II. His brother, Logan, had a 247 in Game 2 of a 662 series. Jackson Rall had a high game of 227 in a 662 series for Patchogue-Medford (3-5).
GIRLS BOWLING
Longwood 30, Middle Country 10: Kaylee Dwyer rolled a 218 in Game 2 of a 625 series to lead Longwood (6-0) in Suffolk I. Alexis DiBella added a 213 in Game 1 and Avery Frank bowled a 202 in Game 2.
WEDNESDAY
Comsewogue 36, Sachem 4: Seventh-grader Rosalie Manfre shot a match-high 201 in Game 3 of a 581 series for Comsewogue (6-1) in Suffolk I. Izzy Grillo rolled a 191 in Game 1 of a 541 series.
