Aiden Barnes made the winning three-pointer at the buzzer for Elmont in a 48-47 victory over host Bethpage in Nassau V boys basketball on Friday. Barnes finished the game with 13 points. Jayden Johnson scored 10 points and Jaden Cajuste had nine for Elmont (8-8). Justin Serio scored 22 points and Mateo Alvarez had 10 for Bethpage (8-8).

Carey 55, Clarke 49: Kelvin Persaud scored 15 points to lead Carey (1-14) in Nassau V. Matt Plaia added nine points and Leon Villavencio chipped in seven. Kai Destine scored 15 points for Clarke (5-11).

Bayport-Blue Point 57, Center Moriches 45: Chris Gorwitz scored 23 points to lead Bayport-Blue Point (9-8) in Suffolk VI. Colin Most had 15 points and 12 rebounds. Declan Schug had 13 points and seven assists. Allan Whitty scored 11 points for Center Moriches (11-5).

THURSDAY’S GAMES

Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 82, Hempstead 72: Jordan Rabinovich had 24 points and Landon Lippman added 20 to lead Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK (14-2) in Nassau I. Jayden Iroth scored 13 points and Alex Zager had 11. Amare Collins had 24 points. Jonathan Davis scored 15 for Hempstead (9-6).

East Hampton 59, Hauppauge 52: Toby Foster scored 24 points and Mason Jefferson had 16 to lead East Hampton (9-8) in Suffolk IV. Tyler Persan added 12 points. Dominic Fernandez made four three-pointers and finished with 16 points for Hauppauge (5-12).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

East Meadow 54, Herricks 36: Angelina Cronin scored 14 points to lead East Meadow (9-5) in Nassau AAA-I. Allie Barnwell added 10 points. Mariyah Darr scored 16 for Herricks (5-11).

Longwood 48, Sachem East 36: Arianna Toribio scored 18 points to lead Longwood (5-12) in Suffolk I. Nevaeh Johnson and Zoe Jackson each scored 10 points. Mariah Holman grabbed 14 rebounds. Bridget Hansen scored 12 points for Sachem East (8-8).

Smithtown West 63, Smithtown East 37: Catherine Piccininni scored 22 points and Alyssa Lorefice had 18 points to lead Smithtown West (13-5) in Suffolk III. Evy Avery scored 11 points for Smithtown East (8-11).

Babylon 68, Mattituck 46: Morgan Fiedler scored 27 points to lead Babylon (14-3) in Suffolk VII. Peyton Logue-Boyd had 13 points and 22 rebounds. Gabby Weiss added 15 points. Claire McKenzie scored 16 points for Mattituck (4-13).

Glenn 49, Center Moriches 34: Ella Colongeli scored 18 points to lead Glenn (6-11) in Suffolk VI. Alana Govan added 15 points. Avery Allen grabbed 11 rebounds. Ella Cerillo and Brianna Carter both scored 10 points for Center Moriches (4-12).

THURSDAY’S MATCH

Hicksville 156.35, Carle Place 132.85: Abby Thaler earned first place in all-around, scoring 8.25 on vault, 8.65 on bars and 9.35 on floor for Carle Place. Adriana White of Hicksville finished in second place in the all-around with a score of 31.4, including a first-place finish on beam with an 8.8. Chloe Gan finished second on floor with a 9.2. Mia Sestoso finished third in the all-around with 31.2.

East Islip 37, Central Islip 3: MJ Schweizer rolled a personal best of 267 in Game 2 of a 687 series to lead East Islip (11-1) in Suffolk II. Brooke Andresen rolled a 229 high game in a 653 series. Makayla Boyd rolled a high game of 216 in a 578 series.
