Keira Pirozzi scored the winning goal in overtime with 1:20 left, leading Ward Melville’s girls lacrosse team to an 11-10 home win over Northport on Tuesday in Suffolk I. Giavanna Parente had 13 draw controls. Vivienne Speidell and Mia Modica both had three goals and an assist for Ward Melville (10-0). Ava DeMarco had three goals and four assists for Northport (9-1).

Monday’s games

Mount Sinai 11, Westhampton 10: Addison Chartrand and Ava Ciofrone scored three goals apiece, with Ciofrone also assisting on a score for Mount Sinai (6-4) in Suffolk II. Ava Derby had a goal and four assists for Westhampton (5-6).

Oyster Bay 13, Plainview-Old Bethpage 12: Mary Woodstock drew a double team and dished to Chloe Romano, who scored the winning goal in overtime for Oyster Bay (8-1) in Nassau III. Oyster Bay trailed 12-8 entering the fourth quarter. Avery McCusker made one of her 14 saves in overtime and Leah Putnam forced a turnover to set up Oyster Bay’s winning goal. Olivia Wong led Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK (4-4) with four goals.

BOYS LACROSSE

St. Dominic 6, Holy Trinity 5: Jonathan Catanzaro won the opening faceoff in overtime and scored five seconds into the period to lead St. Dominic (5-2) in NSCHSAA. Aiden Cromwell scored as time expired in regulation to force overtime. Danny Burgin III and Chase Eichele both scored two goals for Holy Trinity (8-1).

Hauppauge 17, West Babylon 5: Joe Bono won 24 of 26 faceoffs and scored a goal for Hauppauge (5-7) in Suffolk II. Michael Granshaw had six goals and two assists, and Griffin Segal had four goals and four assists. Grant Russell had two goals and two assists for West Babylon (1-10).

BASEBALL

Valley Stream South 6, Cold Spring Harbor 2: Peter Greif pitched a complete game, striking out eight, for Valley Stream South (9-6) in Nassau B. He scored two runs and stole four bases. Gabe Sukhu’s two-run single broke a tie at 2 in the sixth inning.

Seaford 5, North Shore 3: Tom Mirenda allowed one hit, striking out three over two scoreless innings of relief to lead Seaford (7-9) in Nassau A. Matt Kind, Joe Rotondaro, Joe Scarangella and Brendan Fox all had RBIs.

Carle Place 9, East Rockaway 1: Phillip Bunt went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two stolen bases for Carle Place (7-4) in Nassau B.

Clarke 7, Roslyn 0: Matt Kurz tossed a one-hitter with nine strikeouts for Clarke (13-2) in Nassau AA-III.

Carey 6, MacArthur 2: Dom Peluso and Brody Kennedy both went 1-for-3 with two RBIs to lead Carey (10-3-1) in Nassau AA-II.

Monday’s game

Great Neck North 6, Hempstead 5: Ely Weiner sent home the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning by securing a walk, completing a 2-for-3 day with two RBIs and two runs for Great Neck North (8-1-1) in Nassau Countywide. Ryan Schoenfeld tied the score at 5 with an RBI double in the sixth inning. Daniel Tiburcio struck out eight for Hempstead (3-8).

SOFTBALL

Monday’s games

Massapequa 7, Wantagh 2: Sienna Erker went 4-for-5 with three RBIs, including a two-run double that drove in Allie Dodick and Juliana Muscara in the top of the eighth inning, for Massapequa (10-4) in Nassau I. Savannah Gandini and Hailey Kissinger scored a run apiece for Wantagh (7-4).

Bay Shore 11, Connetquot 10: Grace Bono went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and had what proved to be the winning hit in the seventh inning for Bay Shore (3-10) in Suffolk II. Isabella Petraglia went 3-for-5 with three RBIs.

Division 7, Hicksville 6: Keria McGuire went 2-for-3, Julianna Cruz went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Sophia Librizzi went 2-for-5 for Division in its Nassau III win. Division (11-3) scored six runs in the top of the sixth inning. Samantha Leung struck out four in seven innings in Hicksville (10-5).

Comsewogue/Port Jefferson 14, Copiague 0: Maggie Burrell threw a one-hitter with 17 strikeouts, including the 300th of her career, for Comsewogue/Port Jefferson (9-4) in Suffolk II. Kiki Napolitano went 2-for-4 and got her 100th hit.

MacArthur 5, Seaford 3: Olivia Macken led off the top of the eighth inning with a single and scored on Alyssa Tinucci’s fielders’ choice to put MacArthur (7-6) ahead in Nassau I. Gianna Spaventa followed with a single and Alex Livanos’ squeeze bunt scored Tinucci and Spaventa.

GIRLS BADMINTON

Lynbrook 4, Uniondale 3: Sophia Goumeni defeated Rosmary Vanegas, 24-22, 24-22, at first singles for Lynbrook (4-6) in Nassau IV. Sarah Montanez beat Helen Mejia at third doubles.

BOYS TRACK & FIELD

Bayport-Blue Point 90, Glenn 50: Chris Gorwitz won the high jump at 5 feet, 8 inches for Bayport-Blue Point in Suffolk VII. Aiden Brogan won the 100 meters in 11.2 seconds.
