Down one run in the top of the seventh inning, Ryan Leary hit a three-run, inside-the-park home run to lead Carle Place baseball to a 4-2 win over East Rockaway on Friday in Nassau B. Michael Seglin had 10 strikeouts across 6 1/3 innings and Michael Urciuoli earned the two-out save.
Mount Sinai 5, Islip 1: Jason Hayes threw a one-hitter, allowing no earned runs, for Mount Sinai (11-3) in Suffolk VI.
Clarke 7, Roslyn 3: James Beckworth allowed three hits in a complete game, striking out 10, for Clarke (15-2) in Nassau AA-III.
THURSDAY’S GAME
Patchogue-Medford 8, Longwood 7: Brayden Davis hit a home run, singled and had three RBIs as Patchogue-Medford (7-6) scored six seventh-inning runs in Suffolk I.
SOFTBALL
Commack 3, Ward Melville 1: Kate Schweitzer allowed no earned runs, two hits and struck out 13 for Commack (12-3) in Suffolk II. Juliana Russ had an RBI double for Ward Melville (9-4).
Herricks 8, Island Trees 7: Sophia Tsai’s two-run triple in the sixth inning gave Herricks (2-13) the lead in Nassau III. Rayya Malik went 3-for-3 with a triple and two runs. Danielle Carrino went 2-for-4 with two runs for Island Trees (4-11).

Hewlett 16, New Hyde Park 2: Eighth-grader Coralia Savin struck out 13 to reach 200 career strikeouts for Hewlett (9-4) in Nassau IV.
BOYS LACROSSE
Lindenhurst 17, Copiague 4: Joe Scavone IV had five goals and five assists for Lindenhurst (9-3) in Suffolk I. He became Lindenhurst’s all-time point leader on April 29, surpassing Tim Rau’s 2006 record (243), and now has 257 points.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Rocky Point 7, Islip 6: Cadence Adamo had two goals and two assists for Rocky Point (5-6) in Suffolk II.
FLAG FOOTBALL
Floyd 21, Patchogue-Medford 6: Vinte’ya Rountree had 180 scrimmage yards, two TD receptions, 18 flag pulls and a sack for Floyd (6-3) in Suffolk I. Veronica Sky Williams had six sacks. London Barnes had a 60-yard pick-6.
GIRLS BADMINTON
Syosset 4, Bethpage 3: Veronica Li and Nandika Salhotra of Syosset (7-4) beat Stephanie Wang and Araya Kaur of Bethpage (4-7) at second doubles, 21-6, 21-15, in Nassau I.
Valley Stream Central 4, Hempstead 3: Bea Degoma beat Stacey Romero, 21-7, 21-2, at first singles for Valley Stream Central (7-5) in Nassau III.
