Liam Ryan and Vinny Staub combined for a no-hitter in a 2-1 victory for Northport over Centereach in Suffolk League III baseball on Tuesday.

Ryan allowed one run with three strikeouts in four innings and Staub went three scoreless in relief with four strikeouts and no runs allowed.

Reid Johansen went 2-for-3, including a single to drive in Max Brewer in the first inning, and later scored the winning run in the fourth inning when Shawn Aliperti grounded into a fielder’s choice.

MONDAY’S GAMES

Oceanside 15, Valley Stream Central 0: Patrick Pallentino had 10 strikeouts in five perfect innings for Oceanside in non-league.

Center Moriches 14, Southampton 0: Joey Hiller allowed no hits with 11 strikeouts and two walks across five innings for Center Moriches in Suffolk VII.

Kings Park 4, Mount Sinai 0: Hunter Colagrande, Matt Callaghan and Brandon Hauk combined for a no-hitter for Kings Park in Suffolk VI.

Ward Melville 9, Brentwood 8: Joe Karpowicz singled in Danny Cornish for the winning run with two outs to cap off a four-run sixth inning for Ward Melville in non-league.

Cornish tied the score at 8 with a two-strike, two-out single to drive in Derek Savicki and Anthony Competello. Jason Stiles earned the win for the Patriots with three scoreless innings, striking out three and allowing no hits.

Rob Ortiz had two home runs and four RBIs for Brentwood.

MONDAY’S GAMES

Calhoun 6, Oceanside 5: Ashleigh Coyne had a walk-off, line-drive single to leftfield to drive in Gianna Nicastro in the seventh inning for Calhoun in Nassau I. Ava Giuliano had a sacrifice fly to drive in Johana Esposito to tie the score at 5 after Calhoun entered the seventh inning trailing 5-4. Gabby Facciponti went 3-for-3 with a leadoff home run.

MacArthur 12, Mepham 11: Angela Pellegrino’s single drove in Hailey Trapani for the go-ahead run as MacArthur scored seven runs in the top of the seventh inning. Gabby Silvestri’s two-run single capped the scoring.

Mepham hit three doubles in the bottom of the seventh, but Alexandra Livanos induced a groundout to end the game. Silvestri went 3-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs.

Garden City 8, New Hyde Park 1: Kaitlyn Santopietro had 18 strikeouts and a two-run home run for Garden City in Nassau IV.

Eastport-South Manor 5, Rocky Point 4: Hannah Jaccard had a pinch-hit, two-out double to drive in pinch runner Aubrey Capra to break a tie at 4 in the top of the sixth inning for Eastport-South Manor in non-league.

GIRLS LACROSSE

MONDAY’S GAMES

East Meadow 12, Floral Park 11: Halle Lara (four goals) scored the winning goal in the second overtime period for East Meadow in Nassau III. Brooke Vislocky added five goals and four assists in the win. Paige Dowdell had three goals and four assists for Floral Park.

BOYS LACROSSE

MONDAY’S GAMES

Hauppauge 14, West Islip 13: Kole Lemke had seven goals and Nick Uzakewicz added one goal and six assists to lead Hauppauge to a Suffolk II win. After West Islip scored to make it 14-13 with 37 seconds left, Joe Bono won his 17th faceoff to secure the win. Ethan Segal added four goals for Hauppauge. Chase Busking had six goals for West Islip.
