Eighth-grader Keven Pimentel pitched a no-hitter, striking out nine, as Huntington shut out Comsewogue, 7-0, in League V baseball Friday.

Pimentel was helped by Jessie Sheridan and Jimmy Oliva, who each had two RBIs during a six-run seventh inning. Matt Curley got things started for Huntington (3-12) with a run-scoring double in the second inning.

Carle Place 9, Wheatley 6: Stephen Laurino stole home with one out in the bottom of the fourth to give fourth-seeded Carle Place (8-12) a 7-6 lead over No. 5 Wheatley in a Nassau Class B quarterfinal. Joseph Alfaro went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs to lead Carle Place, which trailed 6-0 in the first inning. Carle Place will play at Oyster Bay or Locust Valley in a best-of-three semifinal, beginning Monday at 4 p.m.

Westbury 9, Elmont 2: Nick Arevalo struck out 17 and went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to lead Westbury (5-9) in Conference A-III. Trey Mujica went 2-for-4 with a home run and five RBIs.

Rocky Point 2, East Hampton 1: Joe Bloom scored on Shawn Blasberg's fielder's choice in the bottom of the fifth to give Rocky Point (10-5) the deciding run in League VI. Joe DeFrank singled home Paul Sorrano to tie the score at 1 in the inning. Brine Gill struck out nine in a three-hitter.

Mercy 2, Pierson/Bridgehampton 0: Al Yakabowski struck out six in a three hitter as Mercy (8-4 League VIII) clinched a playoff berth.

Kellenberg 1, St. Mary's 0: Tom Tolan singled home Pat Healy in the bottom of the 15th for Kellenberg (9-7) in CHSAA. The game was a continuation from May 8, which went 13 scoreless innings. Starter Kevin McCarthy, who pitched nine innings of no-hit ball last Saturday re-entered the game on Friday, pitching two more innings of no-hit ball to get the win.

BOYS LACROSSE

North Shore 12, Clarke 11: Jake Venditto scored off an assist from Jake Alverson with 3:13 left in overtime for North Shore (2-7) in Conference IV. Connor Boalick scored with 1:48 left in regulation to tie the score at 11 for Clarke. Cold Spring Harbor 10, Friends Academy 9: Brandon Bouchard scored the game-winning goal 14 seconds into overtime for CSH (8-1) in Conference C. Chris Moriarty picked up the ball off the opening faceoff, ran through a check, penetrated on a 4-on-3 fast break and found Jack Wallance, who fedo Bouchard. Moriarty (three goals, one assist) scored unassisted with eight seconds left to tie it for CSH. Cold Spring Harbor was trailing 9-7 with 54 seconds left before Moriarty scored on an assist from Cam Lee to make 9-8. Friends is 7-2.Garden City 10, Division 6: Devin Dwyer had four goals and four assists and Tom Gordon and Kyle Hughes each added two goals as Garden City (7-1) handed Division (7-1) its first Conference B-I loss of the season.Glenn 10, Harborfields 9: Thomas Forsberg scored unassisted with two minutes left in the second overtime to win it for Glenn (8-5) in Division II. Harborfields outscored Glenn 4-0 in the fourth quarter, with keeper Bryan Morris getting 10 of his 20 saves during that period. Matt Forsberg had six goals and one assist. Steven Christofides shut out Harborfields in overtime and made 15 saves.
